After leaving the feature table to join one of the outer tables, Joao Simao and Vitalijs Zavorotnijs traded raises that saw the former all-in for around 800,000.
Joao Simao: Q♠Q♦
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: K♠K♣
Simao was on the wrong side of the cooler and Zavorotnijs became the big chip leader after the 9♦5♣3♦3♣7♠ runout.
Victoria Livschitz opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and called when Nicholas Palma made it 115,000 from the button, Livschitz check-called for 45,000 on the Q♠7♠5♠ flop before the K♠ turn and J♦ river checked through to showdown. Livschitz tabled 8♣8♦ for a pair of eights, but Palma had a pair of kings with K♣10♦.
On the next deal, Vitalijs Zavorotnijs jammed from the small blind and Chino Rheem called off his stack of around 170,000 in the big blind.
Chino Rheem: AxQx
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: Jx9x
Zavorotnijs made two pair on the Jx10x9x7x4x runout to eliminate his opponent.
Andrew Lichtenberger opened to 40,000 from the cutoff before Vitalijs Zavorotnijs made it 140,000 from the button. Andrew Lichtenberger put Zavorotnijs all-in and the latter committed his stack of 365,000.
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: Q♠Q♦
Andrew Lichtenberger: A♦5♦
Zavorotnijs' pair remained best and he doubled up after the K♣7♣3♦3♥J♦ runout.
Before today, Myles Mullaly and Jesse Lonis were the only two players to have cashed in all three Poker Masters events so far. Mullaly's streak came to an end earlier in the day, leaving Lonis as the last player with a chance to keep his perfect cashing record intact.
However, Lonis' run also came to an end after he got his short stack in preflop against Victoria Livschitz. Lonis held 7x7x and was flipping against Livschitz's Ax10x, but an ace on the flop left him needing one of the two remaining sevens. Neither the turn nor river came to his rescue, bringing his streak to an end.
Brock Wilson raised to 40,000 from the hijack. Clemen Deng and Adrian Mateos called from the blinds.
Deng shoved for 85,000 on the 8♣6♦2♠ flop and only Mateos called.
Clemen Deng: Q♠7♠
Adrian Mateos: A♦2♦
Deng made a move with queen-high, and Mateos pair of deuces were ahead. However, the 4♠ turn and 5♥ river gave Deng a straight for the double up.
