Three Hands with Mateos
Adrian Mateos opened to 12,000 from the button and David Coleman defended the big blind. Coleman check-called for 7,000 on the A♦6♣4♠ flop and then led for 12,000 on the 6♦ turn. Mateos called. Coleman checked the 10♥ river after some thought, but snap-folded when Mateos put him all-in for his last 34,000.
On the next deal, Myles Mullaly raised to 12,000. Jamie Dwan three-bet to 35,000 from the hijack and then Mateos four-bet to 70,000 from the cutoff. Mullaly folded before Dwan jammed for 178,000. Mateos called as the bigger stack.
Jamie Dwan: K♠K♦
Adrian Mateos: A♥J♥
Dwan doubled up after the 4♥4♦3♠7♦7♠ runout.
The following hand saw Mateos make it 12,000 from the hijack. Jeremy Ausmus called from the cutoff and then David Coleman jammed for 31,000 from the button. Mateos jammed for 86,000 and Ausmus got out of the way.
David Coleman: 7♥7♦
Adrian Mateos: Q♥10♠
Coleman made a set on the A♣7♣2♥ flop and doubled up after the 4♠ turn and 5♣ river.
Soon after Mateos was eliminated, alongside Nick Schulman, Brian Batt and Joe McKeehen.
