2026 Poker Masters
After entering Event #8, Adrian Mateos quickly found his stack in the middle.
On the 8♦7♠3♥9♠K♦ board, Adrian Mateos checked in the big blind and Andrew Lichtenberger bet 42,000 into a pot of around 31,000. Mateos jammed for 133,000 and after some thinking time, Lichtenberger called.
Mateos tabled J♣10♣ for a king-high straight, besting Lichtenberger's KxJx for the pot.
Shannon Shorr raised to 6,000 from under the gun. Sean Perry and Clemen Deng called from the cutoff and button.
It checked to Deng on the 5♠4♣2♣ flop and he bet 6,000. Shorr made it 17,000, folding out Perry. Deng jammed and Shorr called off his stack of around 70,000.
Shannon Shorr: A♣5♣
Clemen Deng: 4♦4♠
Deng was ahead with a set of fours, but Shorr had plenty of outs with his combo draw. The board bricked for Shorr, as the Q♠ turn and J♠ river confirmed his departure.
Joe McKeehen is a fresh face in the field, while Nick Schulman and Nicholas Palma are on their second bullets. Schulman was downed by Andrew Lichtenberger while Palma was stacked by Sam Laskowitz.

The players have headed off on their first break of the day, with 32 entries recorded so far and 26 players remaining.
Brian Batt and Dan Smith have already burned through two bullets. Tony Gregg and Andrew Lichtenberger have also been eliminated once, but both are still in the mix on their second entry's.
As relayed by the dealer on Table #1, Clemen Deng opened to 5,500 from under the gun before Justin Vaysman made it 22,000 from the small blind. Sean Perry then four-bet to 48,000 from the big blind. Deng five-bet jammed for 198,500. Vaysman folded before Perry called.
Deng tabled QxQx and was up against JxJx. Perry found no help for his jacks, and Deng scooped the massive pot for the early chip lead.
Dan Smith raised from under the gun, and called when Neil Warren made it 17,000 from the button.
On the 5♠5♥2♣ flop, Smith check-raised to 40,000 over a bet of 12,500. Warren jammed as the big stack, and Smith committed the remainder of his stack, which was around 105,000 total.
Dan Smith: 9♥9♦
Neil Warren: Q♣Q♠
The 3♥ turn and 10♦ didn't save Smith, and he busted his second entry.
