Loeser is the Winner

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Dan Sepiol was all in and Manig Loeser putting him at risk.

Dan Sepiol: Q6 All in
Manig Loeser: AQ

Loeser had Sepiol dominated, but he picked up extra outs with a flush draw after the 225 flop. But the board ran out 810 and the ace high of Loeser was still best, giving him the pot and eliminating Sepiol.

'Child of the Sim' Wins and Loses Set Over Set Within an Hour

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Landon Tice
Landon Tice

The poker gods sure love to giveth and then taketh away. Or, at least they did to Landon Tice on Monday during the $3,000 PokerGO Cup Showcase at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

Dubbed the "Child of the Sim" by Joey Ingram, Tice was on the winning end of a set over set situation early during the Day 1b session. But he'd lose more than half of the big stack he accumulated an hour later in another set over set confrontation.

Elias Out Flops Lichtenberger

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Darren Elias opened from the hijack with a raise to 10,000, and it folded to the big blind Andrew Lichtenberger, who three-bet to 30,000. Elias gave it some thought before making the call.

Both players checked to showdown after the board ran out AQ96A. Lichtenberger turned over 88 but Elias had the winner when he tabled K9 to take the pot with his pair of nines.

Gaskins Sent Home

Level 7 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sam Laskowitz opened to 10,000 from middle position and was called by Chris Hunichen in the hijack. It then folded to Clyde Gaskins in the small blind, who three-bet all in for 46,000. Laskowitz gave it some thought before four-betting all in, which got a quick fold from Hunichen to leave the players heads-up, with Gaskins at risk.

Clyde Gaskins: 33 All in
Sam Laskowitz: 77

Gaskins was asking for a crab leg, but the board ran out 4488K and Laskowitx pocket sevens were still best, eliminating Gaskins.
