Where's the Seven?!

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Sean Winter raised to 14,000 on the button and was called by Jesse Lonis and Shannon Shorr in the blinds. The flop came 642 and Shorr led out with a bet of 15,000. Winter called and Lonis got out of the way.

The turn brought the A and Shorr checked this time. Winter checked it back and the 8 completed the board. Shorr checked one more time and Winter made a frustrated check.

Shorr flipped over 64 for two pair and Winter could only muster one pair with 85 after missing all of his draws.

"Where's the seven?" Winter asked. "Or the three? Or the diamond? Where's the seven?!"

Blair Doubles Through Simao

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joao Simao opened to 10,000 from under the gun and Eric Blair shoved all in for 74,500 from the big blind. Simao got a brief count and then called to put Blair at risk.

Joao Simao: KQ

The flop came A95 and Blair's pocket jacks were still in the lead. The A on the turn and the 3 on the river changed nothing, giving Blair a much-needed double up.

Lots of Action

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Brock Wilson raised to 11,000 on the button and Myles Mullaly shoved all in for 107,500 in the small blind. Brandon Wilson also stuck in his 107,500 chips from the big blind and Brock Wilson snap-called as the big stack.

Brandon Wilson: QQAll in
Brock Wilson: AK

"Lots of action," Jim Collopy said as an onlooker.

The board ran out 766J5 and Brandon Wilson's pocket queens held up to eliminate Mullaly and put a dent in Brock Wilson's chip stack.

Collopy Sends Riordan to the Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jim Collopy opened to 10,500 from under the gun and John Riordan ripped all in for around 50,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Collopy who quickly called to put Riordan at risk.

John Riordan: KQAll in
Jim Collopy: A10

The flop of 632 didn't connect with either player but it was the A on the turn that paired Collopy and left Riordan drawing dead to the 6 on the river.

Katz Dodges a Second Bullet

Level 7 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

"500,000 chips or reenter," has been the motto for Cary Katz since he sat down after the first break of the day. So far, Katz is well on his way to 500,000 chips and not having to reenter...as of yet.

Michael Brinkenhoff raised it up in middle position and Brandon Wilson called in the cutoff. Katz came along from the big blind and the flop of KJ4 hit the felt. Brinkenhoff continued with a bet of 15,000 and Wilson called. Katz check-raised all in for 125,000 and Brinkenhoff reshoved all in. Wilson called off his stack of just over 100,000 and all three hands were tabled.

Brandon Wilson: A10All in
Cary Katz: 105All in
Michael Brinkenhoff: AK

Katz flopped the best hand with a flush but Wilson had the best odds to overcome it with a better flush draw. The 5 on the turn and the 6 on the river bricked out and Katz celebrated.

"500k, here we come!"
