Harder and Shorr Clicking Buttons

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Shannon Shorr raised it up from under the gun and Christian Harder defended from the big blind. The flop fell 775 and Harder checked to Shorr who continued with a bet. Harder check-raised to 11,000 and Shorr clicked it back to 19,000. Harder called and both players were left with a stack less than the size of the pot.

The turn brought the Q and Harder checked again. Shorr slid out his entire stack of 33,000 and Harder quickly released his cards to the muck.

First Break of the Day

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

The players are being sent on their first break of the day which will be 20 minutes in length. This will also bring an end to the live straddles which seemed to be very popular amongst the players in the PokerGO studio.

Becker Tells the Truth

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jeremy Becker
Jeremy Becker

With the straddle employed, Michael Berk raised to 14,000 on the button. Jeremy Becker used a time bank before moving all in for 133,500 in the small blind. Cherish Andrews reshoved all in from the big blind which got the straddle and Berk to fold.

Neither player wanted to show their cards and the dealer proceeded to run out the board. The flop came 974 and Becker announced that he had a flush, although many at the table did not believe him.

The 9 and J completed the board and Becker whipped over QJ to show that he indeed had a flush. Andrews rechecked her cards and then tossed them into the muck as she passed over half of her stack.

Muzar Spikes the Turn to Bust Livschitz

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Victoria Livschitz and Murtaza Muzar got all of their chips in the middle with Livschitz at risk for around 60,000. She turned over the best hand and was in a great position to double up.

Victoria Livschitz: QQAll in
Murtaza Muzar: JJ

The flop fell 542 and Livschitz was still in the lead with the better of the two pocket pairs. However, the J peeled off on the turn which flipped the script. The 6 completed the board and Livschitz was headed to the rail while Muzar stacked the pot.

Andrews Gives Away the Secret

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Cherish Andrews put on the straddle and the action folded to Jeremy Becker in the big blind who made it 14,000 to go. Andrews picked up her hand and then decided to throw it away, but Becker gave the option to "PLO it". Andrews agreed and all four of their cards were mixed together before throwing the J532 face up for everyone to see.

After a few seconds had passed, Chino Rheem was still puzzled and had to inquire. "Wait. What did you raise with?" Rheem asked.

"I forget what I had," Becker chuckled.

"I had five-deuce," Andrews piped up.

"The whole point of PLO-ing it is for them not to know!" Becker quipped back.

"Now she knows the rules," Rheem replied.

Deadly Turn Card Favors Warren

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the straddle on, Manig Loeser raised to 6,000 on the button and Neil Warren three-bet to 14,000 in the small blind. Andrew Lichtenberger called from the big blind which allowed the straddle to come along as well. Loeser called to complete the action and the flop of Q52 hit the felt.

The action checked around and the 7 landed on the turn. Warren led out with a bet of 20,000 and picked up calls from Lichtenberger and the straddle. The river was the Q and Warren sized up a bet of 80,000. Lichtenberger announced all in, forcing the straddle to fold, but Warren instantly called off the remaining 7,500 chips in front of him.

Lichtenberger turned over AQ for trip queens but it was no match for the 77 of Warren which made a full house. Lichtenberger was left with just 2,000 chips following the hand and headed to the registration desk shortly after.
