Good Energy from Berk Serves Up a Double
Level 3
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jesse Lonis raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and Michael Berk jammed all in for 33,000 on the button. Neil Warren reshoved all in from the small blind which forced Lonis to fold.
Michael Berk: A♠8♦
Neil Warren: J♠J♣
The flop came Q♣9♥3♥ and Warren maintained his lead with his pocket jacks. The 9♣ on the turn changed nothing but the A♥ hit the river to give Berk a double up.
"You had good energy," Jeremy Becker commented to Berk. "You never got out of your seat."
Warren was down to just 8,000 chips after the hand and was forced to hit up the registration desk for a reentry just moments later.
