Sam Soverel raised to 10,000 in the cutoff and was called by Sam Laskowitz on the button and Michael Brinkenhoff in the big blind. The flop came J♥7♠3♠ and Soverel continued with a bet of 12,000. Laskowitz called and Brinkenhoff stepped aside.
The turn brought the K♦ and Soverel sized up a bet of 30,000 which got Laskowitz to lay his hand down.
On the next hand, Soverel opened to 10,000 again and Jeremy Ausmus defended from the big blind. The flop came jack-high again and Soverel quickly took down the pot with another pot.

Nick Seward got things started with a raise to 10,000 from under the gun and Brandon Wilson shoved all in for 82,500 on his left. Drake Kemper just called in the cutoff and John Krpan also shoved all in for 95,000 in the small blind. Seward quickly folded and Kemper called just as fast.
Brandon Wilson: 9♥9♦
John Krpan: A♦J♣
Drake Kemper: A♠A♥
The flop came K♦J♦8♠ to give Krpan a pair of jacks but it was still Kemper in the lead. The A♣ peeled off on the turn and Kemper locked things up with a set of aces. The 8♣ on the river was just a formality and both Wilson and Krpan were eliminated.

"When's the last time you went back-to-back?" Sean Winter asked from another table.
"Who, me?" Brock Wilson questioned after winning the previous event on Friday. "I don't think I ever have. Are you saying it's in the cards for me?"
"There's a first for everything, but not this," Drake Kemper quipped.

Myles Mullaly limped in from the small blind and Shannon Shorr checked his option in the big blind. The flop came 8♠4♥4♦ and both players checked to the 9♥ on the turn.
Mullaly led out with a full pot-sized bet of 12,000 and Shorr just called. The river was the 8♥ and Mullaly down-sized to just a min-bet of 4,000. Shorr raised to 26,000 and Mullaly instantly mucked his cards.
After the hand, the dealer was asked to high card for a player to move. Shorr was joined by Jeremy Becker and last-second contestant Justin Zaki for a $500 side bet of who would get the high card. None of them got it right as Rodger Johnson was delivered the lone ace, meaning none of them had to pay up.

Jeremy Ausmus and Sam Laskowitz just chopped up a big pot and the two were back at it again on a flop of J♦5♦4♥. Ausmus led out with a bet of 20,000 in the hijack and Laskowitz called on the button.
"The two are trading body blows," Clyde the dealer commented.
The turn brought the 7♥ and both players checked to the 9♦ on the river.
"Here comes the payoff pitch," Clyde said as the river hit the felt.
Ausmus jammed all in as the big stack and Laskowitz used a time bank before calling off his stack of around 110,000. Ausmus turned over 4♠4♣ for a set of fours and Laskowitz couldn't beat it.
"You're really taking over the table," Clyde told Ausmus who is now the chip leader in the room.
