Fellow Englishman Tony Bromham also tried a pot-sized raise the next hand, but again, everyone folded.

With the action folded around, Jörg Peisert limped from the small blind and Peter Overdijk checked his option.

Peisert led for 3,500, and Overdijk called.

Peisert, as cautious and deliberate in his motions as he had been on the flop, dipped into his stack and bet out again, this time for 5,000.
