Sam Khouiss Moves Into Chip Lead

Sam Khouiss has become the new chip leader after taking down an 80,000 chip pot.

With about 20,000 in the middle preflop and play heads up between Khouiss and an opponent, the flop came {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The money went in on the flop with Khouiss tabling {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} against {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

From here it was a sick roller-coaster. The {A-Clubs} spiked on the turn and Khouiss started with the cussing.

He didn't need to, he redrew to a set on the river {j-Diamonds} to win the monster pot.

"About time the best hand won" was his reaction as he stacked his chips. Khouiss is up to 160,000.

Albert Amato Rolling

Albert Amato is rolling having eliminated an opponent holding {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} with {A-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

The money went in preflop with the opponent opening to 2,200, Amato raising and the opponent moving all in.

Amato's hand held up to move him up to 94,500.

Short Stacks Doubling Up

Leo Boxell is still short
Leo Boxell is still short
Dave Lee and Leo Boxell recently found some slight relief from short-stackness.

Lee moved in with {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and managed to hold up against Spiro Stergiotis' {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Lee moves up to 29,000.

Leo Boxell got the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} all in against {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. This time the over-cards got the decision with the {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop connecting with Boxell. He held up through the {9-Diamonds} turn and {4-Spades} river. He's up to 22,500.

Correction: Adgee Has Man Love For Delaney

Earlier we reported that Ben Delaney might not be Andrew Jeffreys' favorite player, due to Delaney's dominance at the table.

Adgee has proved us wrong.

On a flop of {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} Ali Ghezelbash bet out 5,000 with Delaney making it 18,000 to go. Ghezelbash made the fold and Adgee quipped "You're my hero Delaney! Have you got any posters?".

All that is needed is an autograph or two and the fan worship will be set into overdrive. But what's not to love about Ben Delaney?

"He Shipped Bottom Pair On Me" - The Daniel Neilson Story

Neilson is working his way up the counts late in the day
Neilson is working his way up the counts late in the day
On the turn with the board reading {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} Daniel Neilson led the turn into his cut-off opponent. The cut-off responded by shipping his stack into the middle with {7-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Neilson made the call with his {K-Clubs}{k-Hearts} over pair and made two pair on the river {5-Hearts}.

Scott Kerr who is also seated at Neilson's table summed the situation up. "Your pretty much blessed, I'd love for someone to push all-in on me with bottom pair and no draw". (The opponent did have a gutshot draw though)

The pot effectively doubles Neilson up to 94,000.

Recent Eliminations

Derias (pictured): done
60 players remain as we resume the final level of the day, however Sherif Derias and Paul Marberg are just two of the players who will have to weigh up the pros and cons of playing tomorrow's repechage flight.

Derias was the first to go after moving all in holding {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, only to be taken out by Trevor Henry who held {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} to have a better two pair on a board of {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

Paul Marberg was eliminated soon after when Jie Gao's {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} hit a set on a board that read {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, which crushed Marberg's {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

As a result, Henry moves up to 110,000 while Gao also stays amongst the top cats with 108,000.

Brown Goes to Town

Brown: chips up over 100K again
Brown: chips up over 100K again
Jason Brown has moved back up the counts after mananging to take a chunk of change of Michael 'TheBigSiCkO' Guzzardi and busting an opponent in the same hand.

Guzzardi raised it up from the hijack position preflop to 1,800 and Brown called from the cutoff. However the opponent on the button reraised all in for 10,000, which then saw Guzzardi get out of the way and Brown make the call.

Opponent: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Brown: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The flop came down in the favour of Brown - {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} - and the board held all the way as it ran out {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, sending the opponent on his way.

Guzzardi shrinks to 18,500; Brown now has 106,000 in his stack.
