Savage Slips

A player in the hijack came in raising and Ben Savage decided a re-raise was in order from the big blind to 6,000. The hijack then moved all in for another 5,000 and Savage was priced in to call.

Savage flipped {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and it was the best hand as his opponent held {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} but that all changed on the board of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Savage slips to 21,000 chips.

There are still a ton of bounties left in the ever-shrinking field.

Some of the bounties chipped up and still in play include Stewart Scott, Michael Guzzardi, Ben Delaney, Ben Savage, Sam Khouiss, Peter Aristidou, and the man this event is named after - Tony G.

What are the chances of one of the bounties winning? You will just have to hang around to find out.

Saab Silenced

Michael Guzzardi opened the button for 2,800 before David Saab moved all in from the small blind. Daniel Francis then decided to move all in over the top from the big blind to force Guzzardi out of the way.

Saab: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Francis: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board was kind to Francis as it ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to send Saab to the rail.

Sam Khouiss Back In Black

Sam Khouiss is working his back into this
Sam Khouiss has bolted back up to about 10 big blinds after clashing with two opponents.

In the hand cut-off opened to 2,400 with both Khouiss in the small blind and the big blind making the call.

The flop came {q-?}{7-?}{5-?} and despite only having 1,700 chips left Khouiss checked to the big blind who did Khouiss' bidding for him by moving all in covering the other two players.

The cut-off got out of the way and Khouiss called tabling {K-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent rolled over {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} hoping to hit the the open ended straight draw.

He missed, with the turn {j-?} and river {a-?}. Khouiss chips up to 11,000.

Gurung Could Do With A Break

A few short minutes ago Milan Gurung was amongst the chip leaders. He's now back down to 10,000 after taking another two big hits.

In the first hand Gurung doubled up Ben Savage when he made the call on the turn on a board of {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Gurung held {9-?}{7-?} for the straight draw but Savage improved to trips holding {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} when the {8-Spades} fell on the river.

A few minutes later Gurung took pocket eights to war but ran into an opponent's pocket aces. Gurung couldn't find another eight and loses after hefty pot. Good time for a break!

Bounty vs Bounty Action

Joe's brother is eliminated
Joe's brother is eliminated
David Saab and Tony Hachem were all in preflop in a battle of the bounties! It was Saab's {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} which held the slight edge against Hachem's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

With Saab screaming like crazy, just to make sure all of Melbourne was watching, the board was spread {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} to give him a straight to eliminate Hachem and claim the bounty.

"I haven't won a pot since I got to this table!" exclaimed Hachem as Saab stacks up 20,000 in chips.
