Final Table Set; Play Recommences 4pm Tomorrow

We started the day with 169 players with 17 prized bounties up for grabs along with a prize pool of over $83,000. All of the big names were here, led by the name behind the event, Mr Tony G himself, who put in a fine performance today before splashing around late in the evening to finish in 11th. Other impressive performances went to Ben Delaney who was the chip leader in two different events today, but the tide turned late in the evening as he bowed out in 16th place, while Andrew Jeffreys and Ben Savage have both made the final table in this event, their second final table in the last 24 hours - a remarkable achievement.

They will be led tomorrow by the fast-finishing Bruce Nguyen who enters the final table with 164,700 chips.

Bruce Nguyen - 164,700
Nick Haidaris - 156,000
Angelo Prifti - 125,000
William Skountzos - 110,000
Andrew Jeffreys - 87,700
Riku Koivurinne - 77,700
George Dionisopoulos - 53,600
Ben Savage - 48,700

The final table action will kick off at 4pm local time, so we look forward to your company then!

Grech's Kings Cracked; Then Eliminated

Alfred Grech was the last player eliminated before the final table
Alfred Grech was the last player eliminated before the final table
Alfred Grech limped in with {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} from the small blind and Bruce Nguyen checked his option in the big blind with {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

The flop came {3-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} with the chips getting shipped into the middle. The {2-Clubs} turn gave Nguyen more options and the {6-Clubs} on the river completed a straight.

After the hand Grech was left with just 16,000. Grech then shipped it in with {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and found Nguyen waiting with {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The flop was {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The {6-Clubs} turn made Nguyen a set and put paid to Grech's final table hopes.

Bruce Nguyen goes to the final table with 164,000 chips. He'll be joined by George Dionisopoulos who advances with 53,600.

One More To Go!

With the elimination of Joe Cabret we are now just awaiting the final elimination before the final table is set.

Currently Alfred Grech (100,000), Bruce Nguyen (73,000) and George Dionisopoulos (60,000) are duking it out in an intense battle on table 32.

Cabret Eliminated; Prifti and Koivurinne Advance

Angelo Prifti and Riku Koivurinne have advanced to the final table after the former eliminated Joe Cabret.

Cabret moved in for 40,900 and Prifti made the call tabling {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} to go up against Cabret's {A-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop was kind to Cabret coming {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} but the turn was kinder to Prifti with the {3-Diamonds}. The {2-Spades} blanked the river and Cabret would fall one place short of the final table.

Koivurinne advances with 77,700, while Angelo Prifti will start with 125,000.

Tony G Busts; Jeffreys and Skountzos Advance

Tony G Eliminated
Tony G Eliminated
Tony G started shoving like a madman and eventually it caught up with him.

He moved all in preflop with {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and William Skountzos had little hesitation in making the call with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Skountzos makes a straight to collect the pot and the biggest bounty of them all in Tony G.

Jeffreys advances with 87,700, while Skountzos is flying high with 130,900 as they head into tomorrow's final.

William Skountzos Chips Up

Preflop Tony G raised from the button to 3,200 and both Andrew Jeffreys and William Skountzos called from the blinds.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} and both Jeffreys and Skountzos checked to Tony G who made it 4,500 to go. Jeffreys got out of the way, but Skountzos made the call.

The {j-Spades} fell off on the turn and Skountzos moved all in with Tony G calling.

The G tabled {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for airball against Skountzos' {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} set. The river was the {3-Hearts} brick.

Skountzos doubles through to 87,000. Tony G is now the short-stack at that table with 42,000.

"Don't Beat AJ with AJ"

Andrew Jeffreys doesn't enjoy being beaten by Ace-Jack
Andrew Jeffreys doesn't enjoy being beaten by Ace-Jack
"Don't beat AJ with AJ" was all Andrew "AJ" Jeffreys could say as he looked at his own {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} against the {A-Hearts}{j-Spades} of the all-in Tony G.

The G would survive with the {a-Spades} in the door as the flop completed {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Adgee looked resigned to his fate as he walked off to blow off a little steam.

As if to taunt him the {A-Clubs} fell off on the turn to make Tony G trips. The {4-Diamonds} completed the board.

The G moves up to 87,400. Adgee drops to 97,000. Their table is still three handed with William Skountzos still live.

Lee Busts; Savage and Haidaris Advance

Cliff Lee worked hard with his short stack but finally decided to take a stab with his last 10,000 holding {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} but Ben Savage made the call with his {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Savage takes the pot to eliminate Lee, as we have our first two players through to the final table.

Ben Savage takes 48,700 through to the final table but he'll trail the chip leader from that table in Nick Haidaris who finishes the day with 156,000 chips.

Guerin Gone as Cabret and Prifti Chop

Tim Guerin has been eliminated after running his {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} into the {A-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Angelo Prifti and the {A-Diamonds}{k-Spades} of Joe Cabret.

Guerin moved in for 19,600 with Prifti snap calling and Cabret going into the tank before calling to go to the {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop.

Both players checked and Prifti moved all in on the {a-Hearts} turn with Cabret making the call. The {8-Hearts} blanked the river and Cabret and Prifti were left to share Guerin's chips.
