Mikhalev Folds Twice

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Marek Blasko reentered and drew the same table again but with a different seat. The Slovakian is squeezed between the two big stacks Alexander Mikhalev and Andriy Kushchenko. The new bullet is not crowned by success yet, as Blasko is below the starting stack again.

On the three-way flop of {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Kushchenko bet 3,800 and Athanasios Zogkas in the small blind as well as Mikhalev from under the gun folded.

The next hand, Zogkas limped from the button and Mikhalev raised to 4,100, Zogkas called. On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Mikhalev checked and then folded to a bet worth 6,000.

Richard Schasser Thriving Further

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Richard Schaaser
Richard Schaaser

Stefan Toelle's stack of more than 50,000 vanished after his {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} failed to get there against the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} of Richard Schaaser. The very next hand, Hüseyin Arkun raised to 2,500 and Schaaser called from one seat over.

Arkun bet the {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, both then checked the {9-Spades} turn. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Arkun bet 3,000 and Schaaser quickly raised to 25,000. This forced a fold from Arkun, who flashed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}, and Schaaser returned the favor by showing his {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a straight.

Three All Ins, No Seat Open

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Ashot Oganesian
Ashot Oganesian

Ashot Oganesian raised to 2,800 and Bartel Kars called in the cutoff. "Bruce Balboa" then moved all in for 12,800 out of the small blind and Oganesian reraises all in. "How much is that?" Kars asked and Oganesian replied "around 65,000."

"Are you sure?" Kars added and Oganesian then counted before replying "67,200, and tomorrow Day 1b." After some brief consideration, Kars then called with the biggest stack of the trio to put two opponents at risk.

Bruce Balboa: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Oganesian: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Kars: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} gave Bruce Balboa quads, while Oganesian held up thanks to the {7-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river in order to claim the big side pot.

Scott Hanna Eliminated

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

"Bet. All in. Call," the dealer announced with the flop reading {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. It was Scott Hanna who had bet, Viačeslavas Čugunovas who had shoved and Hanna who then called off with his shorter stack and the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Čugunovas had that beat with {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and stayed ahead, as the {A-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river were insignificant.

"Good luck on the reentry" the player in the one seat added as little needle and Hanna just laughed. Also eliminated: Sebastian Langrock.

Kilic Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Serok Kilic
Serok Kilic

Serok Kilic has been eliminated. In a multi-way pot, he was trying to steal and got his stack in with the {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}, putting a shorter stack on a pocket pair. That was indeed the case, but unfortunately Slobodan Mihaljovič next to him had a monster in {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and looked up both very quickly.

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Mihaljovič eliminated Kilic and the other player with a set of queens.
