Mike Aron's River Bet Gets Though

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We caught up with this hand on a board of {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Spades}{J-Clubs} with a pot just north of 8,000. Stan Jablonski checked, Adam Krach checked and Mike Aron tossed out 5,500.

Jablonski paused before mucking, Krach gave his neighbor Aron a look before mucking and Aron stacked the pot.

Hutter Check-Ships

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Barry Hutter, pictured at a different event.
Barry Hutter, pictured at a different event.

Barry Hutter was in the cutoff on a flop of {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} and he check-called a bet of 3,300 from the player on the button. Both checked the {6-Spades}, and the {k-Clubs} prompted a final check from Hutter. The player on the button fired big with 8,000, and Hutter thought briefly before quickly stacking all of his chips and dropping them in, a raise to about 22,000. That was enough to win the pot.

Ben Keeline took a seat at the same table.

Second Break of the Day

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Three more levels are in the books, six overall, and the field is on a 15-minute break. The floorman announced that there would be a 30-minute break between Level 9 and 10 so players that busted from the Borgata Poker Open Main Event have a chance to eat.

Linster Calls the Clock on Lopez

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We found this hand after Mike Linster called for the floor for a clock - making up for the soft-spoken dealer. There was about 15,000 in the pot, the board was {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Linster was all in for around 17,000.

The floor arrived, gave the Angel Lopez a 90-second clock and Lopez mucked after 80 seconds ticked off.
