Olaf Looks to Build With Snowmen

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Olaf
Olaf

The cards were on their backs between a player known only as Olaf and another unnamed player who was at risk with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Olaf held {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} giving Olaf an open-ended straight draw with his "snowmen." The turn was the {4-Hearts} completing his draw, and the river {j-Spades} was irrelevant.

He moved up to around 83,000, well above average at this stage of the tournament.

ChiKKita banAAna Unhappy At Winning Pot

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

ChiKKita banAAna raised to 3,200 on the button and the blinds both called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and all three players checked. The three players all checked the {7-Clubs} turn and the {6-Clubs} completed the board.

The two players checked to chiKKita banAAna who bet 9,000. He got to very quick folds.

He laughed and showed {a-Diamonds} and then the {2-Clubs} before mucking.

"You give me this!" he exclaimed to the dealer while pointing at the board, and the table laughed.

Riczak Back to Building

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a raise by a player in early position, Michal Riczak three-bet big to 16,000 and was called. The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and was checked to Riczak, who continued for 16,000.

His opponent folded and the Czech nodded, then flashed {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair top kicker before raking in the pot.

Paydar Doubles Through Knitl

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Two players including Petr Knitl checked to Khossrow Paydar on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Paydar bet 7,000. The two other players called and the turn was the {4-Spades}.

Again it checked to Paydar who moved all in for 18,900. The first player folded but Knitl thought about his decision before calling.

Knitl: {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Paydar: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Knitl seemed content enough with his pair and a flush draw, but the river was the {6-Spades} which confirmed Paydar's double up.

News from the Lucky Sit & Go

As today is the last day for players to register for the 2017 PokerNews Cup, there have been special 'Lucky Sit & Go's' running near the registration desk. The format is simple; ten players each pay €25 and the winner of a single hand receives a seat into the PokerNews Cup.

In the latest hand, the flop came {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} with two players revealing sevens with {7-Spades}{2-Clubs} and {7-Hearts}{j-Hearts} respectively. However, it was Mario Bihari who let out a deep roar of delight as the turn came the {10-Hearts}. Bihari revealed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and no one else could beat BIhari's full house.

Bihari immediately took a seat in Day 1D. We'll keep an eye on just how far he goes in the tournament!
