Kerrien Flips His Way into the Chip Lead

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Clement Kerrien

Anthony Kennedy opened to 80,000 from the hijack before Peter Zolnai made it 220,000 on the button. Clement Kerrien four-bet to 700,000, which pushed out Kennedy. Zolnai then jammed for 2,400,000 which sent Kerrien into the tank.

After a few minutes, the clock was called and Kerrien, who covered Zolnai, flicked in a chip to set up the biggest pot of the day.

Peter Zolnai: 1010
Clement Kerrien: AK

It was a huge flip between two of the chip leaders and the J75 flop kept Zolnai ahead. He then groaned as the K turn gave Kerrien the lead which he never relinquished as the board completed with the 7.
