Tom-Aksel Bedell
Tom-Aksel Bedell

Today is Tom-Aksel Bedell's birthday, which he has made well public by chanting "biiiiirthdaaay" during every all-in situation.

This time, Bedell was all in with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} against the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of Jake Cody but the board failed to provide help despite the chants. Bedell finished in 57th place and received €20,000.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Earlier on, Stefan Schillhabel took heaps off Adrian Mateos and the German professional came back to finish the job.

Adrian Mateos was all in for his last 21,000 and Schillhabel looked him up.

Adrian Mateos: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Stefan Schillhabel: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Schillhabel had to take a double-look before realizing he'd won.

Engel Eliminates Andrew Chen in Sick Runout

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

Ari Engel shoved all in from the small blind for about 180,000, and Andrew Chen called for about 140,000, tabling his {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. Engel had {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

"Call?" the dealer asked.

"Depends what the flop is," Chen joked.

"Well, any time he flops a pair, you'll flop a draw, so you call," someone said.

Sure enough, it came {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, giving Engel a pair and Chen a draw. The {9-Hearts} turn filled that draw, and Engel needed a jack for a bigger straight. The river: {j-Diamonds}, shipping the pot to Engel.

Vrakas Scores A Min-Cash

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Georgios Vrakas
Georgios Vrakas

After the bubble burst, Jan-Eric Schwippert, Michal Ozimek, and Gianluca Speranza all busted in quick succession.

Georgios Vrakas was also all in for 48,000 and Jakub Michalak had called from the big blind.

Georgios Vrakas: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Jakub Michalak: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was looking very good for Vrakas until the river: {7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Michalak improved to Broadway to knock out the Greek, who won the €2,200 PokerStars National High Roller for €330,000 earlier this week.

Beresford Takes Most of Meijer van Putten's Chips

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The last EPT champion, Jasper Meijer van Putten, is on the ropes. He called off most of his stack in the big blind with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} when small blind Conor Beresford jammed for 191,000 with {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}. The {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board meant Beresford's best chance was a club, but he caught the {6-Hearts} river for a double.

"Nice hand," Meijer van Putten said.
