Quoss Snap-Mucks a Set

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

A player in the small blind led out for 2,000 on a completed board of {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Fabian Quoss made it 7,500 to go in middle position, and a third player piled in 15,000 from the button. The small blind mucked, and Quoss immediately threw {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} into the middle.

"Fold?" the dealer asked.

"Of course."

He was right to be certain, as the winning player showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Van den Bijgaart fired 1,800 on the {9-Clubs} turn and 5,800 on the {K-Spades} river, which received two quick calls from Splettstosser. Van den Bijgaart showed {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for kings and nines, Splettstosser showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for aces and kings to win the hand.

Foxen Outdraws Moorman

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Chris Moorman had defended his big blind against a button raise from Alex Foxen. Moorman check-called 600 on a {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, before both players checked the {3-Clubs} on the turn.

Moorman bet 1,500 on the {7-Clubs} river and Foxen spent some time in the tank before calling. Moorman showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a set, Foxen showed {K-Spades}{6-Clubs} for the runner-runner straight and won the hand.

Sousa Faces An All In Shove

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Rui Sousa knows what it's like to run deep in Barcelona. Last year, the Portuguese finished 48th for €17,920 in the Main Event, the year before that, he ended up in 18th place and banked €53,570.

In level 2, Sousa was already facing an all in bet for nearly all his chips. The board read {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Sousa had bet 3,000. His opponent Viktor Ustimov responded by shoving for 25,400, which sent Sousa nearly five minutes in the tank.

With the Portuguese media swarming in to capture the moment, Sousa eventually opted to preserve his current stack and settled on a fold.

Liljegren Eliminated by Bertani

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Over at Viktor Blom's table, Jesse Lilijegren was involved in a hand with Rafael Bertani. On a {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Bertani bet 4,000 from the blinds and Lilijegren called in position, leaving himself with around 9,000 behind. Both players checked the {K-Clubs} on the turn.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Bertani bet 11,000, enough to put Lilijegren all in. The Fin thought for three minutes before flicking in a single chip to indicate a call.

Rafael Bertani: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Jesse Lilijegren: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

Lilijegren's hand was second best and he made his exit from the table.
