Egan Doubles, Gives Some Back

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Michael Egan
Michael Egan

We were late to the action but arrived to catch Michael Egan's stack being counted. Egan had {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} in front of him and across the table was the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} of his opponent's. In between them was a {9-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board which Egan had the best of.

Egan's all-in was for about 86,000, doubling up to almost 190,000.

The very next hand, Egan called an under-the-gun open to 3,500 from Shyngis Satubayev, which was also called by the player in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Satubayev continued for 4,500. Just Egan called. The turn brought the {j-Clubs} into the mix and Egan once again called a bet from Satubayev, this time for 12,500.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Satubayev moved all-in. Egan quickly folded, still sitting pretty, while Satubayev gained some light.
