"Hey Tim, didn't you win a Tournament Today?"

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adam's raise from under the gun was called by two opponents including Alessio Casiraghi in the big blind. Only the Italian check-called a bet of 4,000 on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop and did so again for 11,500 on the {4-Hearts} turn.

The {3-Spades} fell on the river and Casiraghi checked. Adams moved all in for around 40,000 and the Italian called for slightly less. Adams rolled over the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for the flopped nuts and Casiraghi mucked {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the inferior straight to join the rail.

"Hey Tim, didn't you win a tournament today?" Dietrich Fast in the one seat asked and Adams just smiled back. Fast had bubbled the €50,000 Super High Roller while Adams finished off that tournament today to claim the trophy. Adams is also on track in the Main Event with a decent stack after this hand as well.

O'Dwyer Bests Neves Again

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Helio Neves and Steve O'Dwyer clashed in another big pot, this time with the board reading {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} on the turn and O'Dwyer firing a bet of 16,000 into about 22,000 from under the gun. Neves tanked a bit and folded.

"Royal flush draw," O'Dwyer said with a smile.

Aldemir Doubles Through Richez

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Koray Aldemir getting his stack of 23,000 in from the button against big blind Clement Richez, though we didn't see who put in the last raise and who called.

Aldemir: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Richez: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out a thoroughly bland {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, enabling Aldemir to double with ease.

Run Like Roca

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Marti Roca de Torres
Marti Roca de Torres

According to the PokerStars Blog team, recent World Series of Poker Europe Main Event winner champion Marti Roca De Torres has scored a big double through Steve O'Dwyer soon after being moved to the table.

Roca De Torres raised to 1,600 from the cutoff and O'Dwyer three-bet to 6,400. Boris Kuzmanovic called, as did the Spaniard, and the flop fell {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. It was O'Dwyer who bet 7,800 after it was checked to him and Kuzmanovic folded, while Rosa De Torres check-raised to 25,900. O'Dwyer called and the {2-Hearts} fell on the turn.

Roca De Torres moved all in for 61,300 and O'Dwyer called with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, while the Spaniard was ahead with {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair. The {A-Spades} on the river was a blank and Roca De Torres doubled into a massive stack.

Weis Fails to Reel in a Final Bet from Tuna

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Three players saw a {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop and the blinds checked to Akin Tuna in the cutoff, who bet 2,200. Only Oliver Weis (small blind) called. The German check-called 6,200 more on the {a-Spades} turn and a {k-Spades} river elicited a pair of checks. Weis tabled {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush.

"You had something?" Weis asked.

Tuna nodded.

Staszko With a Big Stack

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Martin Staszko
Martin Staszko

Martin Staszko vaulted into a big stack after a quads versus flush hand against John Mooney and picked up pocket aces the next hand again to bust a player with pocket deuces. Another big stack is Ramon Miquel Munoz while Vladimir Troyanovskiy was spotted on the rail.

Ali Reza Fatehi, who had started very well into Day 1a, has since been reduced to slightly more than the starting stack.

Adams Relents

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

A player in middle position bet 1,600 on a board of {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Timothy Adams put in 5,500 on the button. His opponent made it 16,000 and Adams tanked awhile and called. On the river came a bet of 15,500 and Adams took some time before tossing the dealer his cards.

Kuzmanovic Takes From Roca

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

During the last hands of the night, Boris Kuzmanovic three-bet to 6,200 out of the small blind and was called by Marti Roca De Torres as initial raiser. Kuzmanovic bet the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop for 5,300 and Roca called before the Croatian checked the {7-Diamonds} turn. Roca bet 11,800 and Kuzmanovic called.

After the {7-Spades} on the river, both players checked and Kuzmanovic turned over the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} as winning hand to put a small dent into Roca's big stack.
