Sinclair Doubles

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Down to just 83,000, Jack Sinclair shoved under the gun. Action folded around to Dermot Blain in the big blind rapidly and he called after some time in the tank.

Jack Sinclair: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Dermot Blaine: {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Sinclair had found a real hand and doubled as the board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

Luo Busts in Huge Pot

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We missed the action and were only there for the showdown, but tablemate Louis Salter told us it had gone raise (Luo in the cutoff), three-bet (Soshnikov in the small blind), shove (Luo), call (Soshnikov).

Xixiang Luo: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}
Ivan Soshnikov: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Luo busted.

Robinson Gets Lucky to Double

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

When we heard the "all in and call", Paul Michaelis (under the gun) and Colin Robinson (big blind) had their chips in on {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for 340,000 each, with Robinson being the one at risk.

Paul Michaelis: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Colin Robinson: {10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The {K-Hearts} on the turn didn't do it for Robinson just yet, but the {J-Spades} on the river did and he doubled while former chip leader Michaelis just sighed.

Mrakes Eliminates Sinclair

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Michal Mrakes opened under the gun to 27,000 and Jack Sinclair jammed in the cutoff for about 180,000. Mrakes snap-called when it got back to him and revealed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Sinclair had {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} and needed help. The {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} board brought none.

Louis Salter Runs Ace-King Into Aces, Busts

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Louis Salter opened under the gun plus one and his neighbor Navot Golan in the hijack three-bet. Action folded back to Salter and he shoved for what appeared to be 430,000. Golan quickly called.

Louis Salter: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Navot Golan: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and that was the end of it for Salter, eliminated in 41st place.

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Omid Mojaverian shoved in the cutoff with about 140,000 and Jean Montury called with a very similar stack in the big blind.

Montury: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Mojaverian: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The race went to Montury as he flopped a ten and held on the {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} board.

Mrakes Eliminates Blain With Quads

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

Michal Mrakes opened for 27,000 and called the shove of Dermot Blain a couple of seats over after some thought, for about 190,000.

Mrakes: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Blain: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The race was a short one: the {3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop gave Mrakes quads and instantly locked it up.

"Good luck, guys," Blain said.

"So small?"

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Lentrodt opened the cutoff for 26,000 and Navot Golan on the button called. Paul Michaelis in the big blind over-called and all three of them checked on {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The {K-Diamonds} on the turn was checked by Michaelis and Lentrodt bet 42,000. Golan folded, Michaelis called.

Michaelis checked again on the river {7-Hearts} and saw Lentrodt bet 64,000.

"So small?" Michaelis said instantly, "I can never fold an ace here, can I?"

Michaelis called eventually but mucked upon being shown {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} by Lentrodt.

"It was my intention for you not to fold," clarified Lentrodt before continuing the conversation in German as the dealer started shuffling for the next hand.
