Ramos Arrives; Moneymaker Takes a Hit

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Just as Chris Moneymaker check-raised the river of a board of {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades} from 3,000 to 7,500 and was called by Andrey Sakolishch, fellow PokerStars Team Pro Felipe Ramos arrived and sat down next to Moneymaker. The American showed {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a bluff and Sakolishch turned over {J-Spades}{3-Spades} for a flush.

Also in: Ramin Hajiyev, who arrived at almost the same time as Ramos.

Watson Takes from Shashkov

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

On the three-way flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}, the action checked to Vladimar Shashkov and he bet 2,500. Only Alex Watson in the small blind called and the {2-Clubs} fell on the turn. Both players checked and Watson eventually bet the {9-Spades} river for 2,500. Shashkov said just one word: "Straight?" before taking one minute of consideration.

Once Shashkov called, Watson rolled over {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a pair of eights and Shashkov mucked.

Aces For Mikhail Korotkikh

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

As the preflop deal was progressing the {k-Hearts} was accidentally exposed. No fuss, it happens and sometimes leads to a change of preflop dynamics.

Each player had a peek at their cards before throwing them in the muck, not interested this time.

So Mikhail Korotkikh got a walk in the big blind and tabled his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} with a shake of the head as he collected the antes and small blind for his troubles.

Pagano Not Going Anywhere Yet

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

After losing a huge pot just moments before, Luca Pagano splashed the rest of his chips in the middle preflop, when action folded around to the PokerStars Team pro in mid-position. The amount was a little more than 3,000 and found a call from the player in the big blind.

Pagano: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Though Pagano's opponent flopped a flush draw, the Italian was able to fade the turn and river to give himself a bit more life.

Pagano Takes A Huge Hit

There was an open to 700 and a call before Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano also called from the button. With a fold from the small blind it was Ihar Soika from the big blind who came out with a big three-bet.

With the other two players folding it was Pagano who called to go to a heads-up flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

Soika check-called a bet of 2,700 from Pagano and the turn card was the {j-Diamonds}.

Another check from the blinds from Soika saw Pagano up the price to 5,000. Soika weighed it up. He had 8,500 behind and soon after he committed all his chips and Pagano quickly called and tabled his {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} set.

The air rushed from his though when he saw Soika had flopped top set with {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and with a blank on the river he took the majority of the Italian’s chips.

Filonenko Bests Tavares

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Alexandr Merzhvinskij opened the action with a raise to 700 and picked up no fewer than four callers including Anatoly Filonenko and Ricardo Tavares in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Filonenko and he bet 1,300.

Tavares was the only caller and check-raised the {10-Diamonds} turn from 1,625 to 5,100. Filonenko called and the {5-Diamonds} river was checked through. Tavares whispered "bluff" before rolling over {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for bottom pair. Filonenko had that beat with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and scooped a nice pot.

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The river was another ace, the {a-Hearts} and Silkeit checked. Chiginev bet 2,500 and Silkeit called.

Kim Jams Back to Starting Stack

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Joining the action on the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Vadim Kim bet 2,000 and Viacheslav Manakov raised it up to 4,000 before the player from Kazakhstan tossed in the extra chips. Kim then checked the {8-Hearts} turn and Manakov bet 5,000. It only took 15 seconds before Kim announced all in and slid forward his stack of 13,225.

Manakov didn't ask for a count, and announced "fold" while also flashing the {Q-Hearts} for top pair on the flop. Kim raked in the pot without saying anything and moved back to starting stack.
