Anatolii Zyrin Slipping At Table of Death

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There are two other players at the table of death (Troyanovskiy, Panyak, Zyrin) and they are struggling to get a look in as they go at it. In a recent hand though they were both involved.

Roy Korthouwer opened from under the gun for 400 and Anatolii Zyrin three-bet form the button to 1,100. For once Panyak folded his small blind. The player in the big blind asked for a count of Zyrin’s stack and saw it was just over 10,000 before he four-bet to 3,000.

Zyrin gave him the respect and mucked and got shown the {9-Spades}.

Chantcev Adds Another Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the four-way flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, the action checked to Sergei Chantcev on the button and he bet 1,000. The small blind called while Konstantin Puchkov in the big blind and Yaniv Peretz in the cutoff let go. There was no betting action on the {6-Spades} turn, and Chantcev took another stab at the pot by betting the {6-Hearts} river for 2,000.

The small blind check-folded and the Russian claimed the pot without showdown.

Shalamov in Trouble

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Several big names are down to less than half or even one third of the starting stack and that includes Martin Finger, Pedro Lamarca, Anatolii Zyrin and PokerStars Team Online's Mikhail Shalamov.

Shalamov raised to 425 and was called by both players in the blinds. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Shalamov's continuation bet was called by the big blind only. On the {Q-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river both players checked and Shalamov mucked as soon as the big blind flashed {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens.

Harry Lodge Comes Out Second Best

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The full board was out between PokerStars qualifiers Harry Lodge and Mika Nordman reading {7-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}. We didn't get the action previously, but Nordman was first to act and bet 7,000 into a pot of around 11,000.

"Did you mean to bet 2,100 on the flop?" asked Lodge, playing with his chips and contemplating his decision.

Lodge pondered his decision for a long while.

"I'm probably calling," said the 2015 UK Poker Championships Main Event winner.

Eventually Lodge called, and Nordman turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nut flush and took down the pot.
