Back in May 2016, when play got heads up in the €25,000 High Roller at the last ever EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo, all the other tournaments in the room had finished.
The duel was between two people who - at the beginning of the tournament - we didn't really recognise by face alone. But when we found out their PokerStars screen names, it all made sense.

Alexandru Papazian raised to 1,800 from under the gun, Ofer Glazer called to his direct left, and Nicolae Calin Georgescu called in late position. The flop was and Papazian continued with 5,000. Glazer folded and Georgescu called.
On the turn, Papazian fired a second barrel worth 9,500, which Georgescu called again. Papazian emptied the clip on the river, opting for a third bet of 19,900. Georgescu moved all in for 43,000 and Papazian, visibly unhappy, called off the extra chips after thirty seconds of thought.
Triumphantly, Georgescu slammed open for the nut flush, and Papazian mucked his hand face-down. Per the rules, the Romanian juggernaut was forced to show, and got revealed.

Danut Dinca raised to 3,000 from the hijack and Aldo Monteleone three-bet to 8,400 from the small blind. Dinca called and the flop came .
Monteleone continued for 8,000 and Dinca quickly raised to 19,000. Monteleone wasted near to no time three-betting all in for around 40,000 and Dinca called.
Getting to his feet Monteleone the Italian was already grumbling about something, and that something was revealed to be the he had shoved with, straight into the of Dinca.
The turn and river didn't help Monteleone and, still grumbling, he collected his things and headed to the exit.

Adrian Veghinas shoved 7,000 from under the gun. Mihai Prisacariu missed the shoved and raised to 2,200 from middle position. When pointed towards the earlier shove, Prisacariu shrugged and called immediately.
Action folded to Danut Dumitrascu in the big blind, who considered the earlier action. Eventually, he decided on shoving all in, putting Prisacariu to the test for his remaining 40,000. Prisacariu snap-called to create a pot of over 100,000.
