Welcome to the second day of our live reporting coverage and today brings you Day 1a of the PokerStars Festival Hamburg €1,100 Main Event in Casino Schenefeld. This is the first of four flights in total to reach Day 2 on Saturday, November 25. The action is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. local time here while the High Roller will restart at 5 p.m.
Hamburg has played host to two previous PokerStars events under the Eureka Poker Tour banner over the previous years. In 2015 Tom Holke was victorious in a 581-entry strong field and took €107,920 and the trophy home with him after having qualified online. Last year it was Dinesh “NastyMinder” Alt who grabbed the win for Switzerland and cashed €69,120 for beating the rest of the field which contained 367 entries.

Expected to join the field in the Main Event are Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki and Team PokerStars Online Felix Schneiders. Hopefully they will show their faces today, if not, they will definitely join one of the other Day 1s.
The players will start with 30,000 chips in their quest to finding a bag at the end of the day. There are 12 45-minute levels scheduled for today with a 15-minute break after every three levels. There is a cap of 200 players and registration will be possible until the start of Level 7. If players, unfortunately, bust on either Day 1a, 1b or 1c, they can choose to reenter Day 1d (reentry flight) which takes place on Friday, November 24 at 8 p.m and will be played with 20-minute levels.

The tournament staff has just welcomed the players to the Main Event (in English and German). The dealers have been instructed to shuffle up and deal if they have three or more players at their table.
The tournament staff has announced that the 60-minute dinner break will take place after Level 9 and registration will close at the end of the 15-minute break after Level 6.
Salvatore Camarda just joined the field and is seated at the same table as Andrey Andreev and Niklas Reszewski.
Camarda raised to 600 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Reszewski in the big blind.
They both checked through the on the flop and the on the turn. The river completed the board with the , Reszewski check-folded to the 1,000 bet of Camarda.

The board read and Angelo Benedetto had bet 2,700 from the button after Wojciech Wisniewski had checked in the under-the-gun position. Wisniewski called and Benedetto tabled for two pair, kings and eights. That was enough for Wisniewski to throw his cards into the muck.

Andrey Andreev limped in from early position, Salvatore Camarda raised to 450 from mid-position. Action folded to Pavel Sytau on the button who raised to 1,300. Andreev called and so did Camarda.
The flop came , both Andreev and Camarda checked, Sytau bet 1,600 and they both called.
The turn brought them the , Andreev checked, Camarda looked at his cards again and then decided to bet 3,800. Sytau had a quick glance at Camarda and Andreev and called. Andreev quickly got out of the way.
The river completed the board with the , now Camarda bet 7,200 and Sytau bolted up straight. He stared at Camarda for a bit but then decided to fold with some regret on his face.
