Utrobin Flops the Cooler

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Viktor Utrobin
Viktor Utrobin

A player in middle position bet an unknown amount with a T5,000 chip into a pot of about 4,500 after {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs} flopped, and Viktor Utrobin put in a check-raise to 8,000 from the big blind. The bettor put his 15,200 in, and Utrobin snap-called, tabling {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the nuts. The other player showed he'd been coolered: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a lower straight. The turn was a {10-Spades} and the river a {3-Clubs}, giving Utrobin the knockout.

Wu Fires the River

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

In what looked to be a three-bet pot containing about 8,000, Jack Wu bet 3,300 from the big blind on a {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{k-Spades} flop. His lone opponent called from the cutoff to see a {7-Clubs} turn, which both players checked. Wu bet 10,500 on the {9-Clubs} river and took it down after about 15 seconds.

Another Double for Rosen

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Jesse Rosen wasn't satisfied with one double up. He sought another, once again shoving all in from the button. This time, there was a cutoff open for 1,250 in front of him and Rosen jammed for 9,100. The player in the cutoff made the call after some thought, but his {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} trailed the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} shown down by Rosen.

The dealer spread a {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop that Rosen approved of, and he asked for a big card. He got a small one, but it was the {6-Clubs}, locking up the double for him.

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, giving Rosen a double that he desperately needed.

Igor Kim Eliminates Quang Huy Nguyen

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a flop of {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, Quang Huy Nguyen bet 900 from under the gun and got raised to 2,900 from Igor Kim, who was on the button. Nguyen reraised to 6,900, and Kim immediately announced all in. Nguyen called for about 15,000 total.

Nguyen: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Kim: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Kim had flopped the nuts and was fading jacks and tens. The board paired on the river, but it was a harmless {5-Clubs} following the {5-Hearts} turn.
