Huang Flops Trips to Win Flip

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Xuefeng Huang opened for 2,000 in middle position and thought briefly before calling the all-in shove of a player in the small blind who had 14,100.

Huang: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Small blind: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Huang pumped his fist when he was {8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop. The {9-Spades} and {3-Hearts} on the turn and river sent the pot his way.

Double for Chan

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Justin Chan opened to 1,800 in middle position and called a three-bet to 4,200 from an opponent on the button. The flop came {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Chan checked. The player on the button set Chan in 12,700, and Chan quickly called with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. He was fading clubs and kings as his opponent had {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, but the turn was a {10-Spades} and the river a {6-Hearts} to keep the jacks best.

Huang Doubles Through Hsiao

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Xuefeng Huang opened in middle position and called a three-bet to 4,000 from Weikuo Hsiao, who was in the big blind. The flop came {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and Hsiao bet 5,100. Huang called. Hsiao fired again for 11,000 on the {6-Clubs} turn, and Huang shoved all in. Hsiao didn't seem pleased but seemingly felt obligated to call for just 6,200 more.

Hsiao: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Huang: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The river was a {7-Hearts}, and the jacks were good for a double.

Hsiao, who was once by far the chip leader, is now below the starting stack.

Sano Takes Three-Way All in

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Mitsuru Sano
Mitsuru Sano

A player was already all in from the small blind when we got to Mitsuru Sano's table, so there was about 30,000 in the middle. Sano was in middle position and facing another all-in wager from the player on the button, who had about 50,000, enough to cover Sano. Someone called a clock, and about halfway through his remaining time, Sano called.

Sano: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Small blind: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Button: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Sano's jacks were best, and they got way better after the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. The {4-Spades} turn ended even the slim chance that he could lose the pot.

Sano Doubles Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

We didn't see how it went down, or what his opponents cards were as they were already in the muck, but Mitsuru Sano just doubled up from the big blind. The board had come {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}, meaning Sano's {8-Spades}{7-Spades} was good for first a straight and then a backdoor flush. There was about 6,000 in the middle already, and Sano's opponent sent him around 24,000.

Virtanen Hits the River

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Aki Virtanen raised to 1,500 in middle position and got three-bet to 4,000 by the player in the small blind. Virtanen called to see a {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop. Virtanen called a bet of 2,500 and they both checked the {a-Spades}. On the {5-Clubs} river, the small blind checked again. Virtanen bet 10,000 and received a call after about 30 seconds.

The Finnish player revealed {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a boat.

Level 6 : 250/500, 65 ante

Oleg Shalaumov opened to 1,200 in the cutoff, and Aki Virtanen made it 3,700 in the big blind. Shalaumov called and the two players checked to the river on {4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Finally, Virtanen fired 5,200 and took it down.

The players then went on a 10-minute break.
