On a flop of , Hyung Chul Hyun checked to Antti Halme on the button and the Finn bet 3,200, which Hyun called. On the turn, Hyun himself bet 4,200 and Halme was the one that called before the river brought a four-card flush on the board.
Hyun moved all in for his last 11,200 and Halme eventually folded. "Show the bluff, it's good for the game," a player at the table said and Hyun flashed the . "Oh nice, you got there with ace queen of spades," Vijay Narula joked.

A short stack shoved for 13,400 from late position and Bruce Fabillaran moved all in for 15,900 in the small blind. Redentor Edoc called both shoves having both covered and turned over . The shortest stack held and Fabillaran was at risk with .
The board came and Fabillaran improved thanks to a runner runner flush to essentially triple up.
One table over, Hassen Judeh called a raise and the big blind also came along. Judeh was on the button and took over the betting lead on the flop, making it 6,200 to go. Only the initial raiser in the hijack called before the appeared on the turn. It was checked to Judeh and a second bet worth 11,800 did the trick for him.

Toshifumi Hashimoto opened the action to 1,500 from under-the-gun with Redentor Edoc (small blind) and Yo Seb Rhee (big blind) making the call to take the action three-way to a flop of .
This brought checks from all three players and the hit the turn, bringing a 3,300 lead from Edoc. Rhee was the only caller and the river completed the hand and the betting.
Edoc turned over and Rhee mucked leaving the Filipino free to scoop the pot and climb to 45,000. Rhee still has a sizable stack of 205,000.

Back in 2016, this very tournament was still part of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) and had a buy-in of PHP50,000. A total field of 577 entries emerged back then and the 2017 edition is on the best way to better this number, while the prize pool has already eclipsed that thanks to 248 entries on Day 1c so far and 557 entries in total.
We caught Jun Yi Ong and Filamee Deopido embroiled in a hand with roughly 3,000 in blinds and antes in the pot on an all-black flop just as Ong bet 1,500 from the button.
Deopido check-raised to 3,500 and while Ong took his time about it the Sinaporean made the call and the dealer peeled off the turn. Now Deopido had seized the initiative he continued to try and sell his story and led for 8,000 and the action was back on Ong.
After around 30-seconds thinking it over Ong reached for raising chips and made it 26,000 to go, only to see Deopido quickly move all-in for 55,800 on top to send the Singaporean player into the think tank.
Eventually Ong flipped over and threw his hand into the muck leaving Deopido to scoop the pot and stack up to 119,000 while Ong dropped to 74,000.

We came running when we heard excited shouting from High Roller Shot Clock champion Peter Plater’s table and arrived in time to see three player’s stacks being counted down.
The three players in question were Rajesa Rajpopat, Peter Plater and Mazyar Misaghian, the latter two of whom were kind enough to talk us through the hand.
According to Plater and Misaghian, a player in early position had opened the action with a raise to 1,500 and Misaghian had called from middle position before Plater re-raised to 4,500 from the button.
Rajesa Rajpopat, sitting in the blinds, made the cold call, the original raiser folded and Misaghian called to bring the action three-way to a flop of .
Rajpopat checked and both Misaghian and Plater checked it back to keep the action three-way to the turn and all three players checked once more.
The river is where the fireworks happened with Rajpopat choosing to lead for a pot-sized 12,000 bet, which sent Misaghian into the tank for a minute or so before he announced he was all-in.
Plater, sitting on around 14,000 called off the last of his chips as did the player in the blinds, who had a stack of around 45,000 and the cards were turned over, which was where we picked up the hand.
Rajesa Rajpopat:
Mazyar Misaghian:
Peter Plater:
There were some questions thrown in Misaghian’s direction by Plater involving the calling of re-raises out of position with speculative hands, but being as the two know each other from Perth, Western Australia, this was mainly just friendly banter.
Plater scooped the main pot to climb to 76,000, Rajpopat left so fast he left a trail of dust on his way to the rail and Misaghian won the side pot to further extend his lead and climb to 192,000.
