High rolling in RozVegas

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Pierre Neuville

"It's not an option available to every player here at the PokerStars Festival Rozvadov, but those with bankrolls big enough came here to play and play some more. There's a reason this village is called RozVegas, after all.

More than half of the enormous King's Casino poker room is taken up by the Main Event Day 2 field right now, but a scattering of tables right in front of our media desk have now opened up for the €2,200 PokerStars Festival High Roller."

Jobmann Takes a Huge Chunk out of Jakopec

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In an already massive pot of over 100,000, the dealer had spread a completed board of {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Mario Jakopec had checked to Jan Timo Jobmann, who meticulously counted out a bet of 67,500. Jakopec didn't need time to think and snap-called it off.

Jan Timo Jobmann: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Mario Jakopec: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Jobmann's rivered two pair was best and put him over the half a million mark.

Sick Setup Launches Schulze

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Felix Schulze
Felix Schulze

Felix Schulze raised to 5,400 from under the gun. A short stacked player behind him called the raise, the small blind called and Niko Wieland in the big blind called as well. On the {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop, the small blind and Wieland checked. Schulze took a look at his left hand neighbor, who appeared antsy and ready to get his last chips in.

Schulze checked and the short stacked player shoved all in without hesitation. The small blind folded and Wieland called. Schulze then check-raised to 69,600. With the action back on Wieland, the German moved all in and Schulze snap-called to create a gigantic pot of 450,000 chips.

Felix Schulze: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Niko Wieland: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Short stacked player: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

It was a setup of gigantic proportions and there was nothing Wieland could do about it. His stack of over 200,000 was about to be decimated unless the one-outer would pop up.

Neither {5-Spades} turn nor {9-Spades} was the miracle card and Wieland had to fork over 194,500 to Schulze, who suddenly holds a massive chip lead.
