Fernandez Knocks Out Santucci

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We caught the action on a flop of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Leo Fernandez checked over to Gustavo Santucci who put out a bet of 7,000. Action was back on Fernandez and he reraised, making it 20,000. Quickly Santucci moved all in and Fernadez called quickly as well.

Fernandez: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}
Santucci: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

Fernandez had flopped a straight with a redraw to an straight flush while Santucci was only holding the top end of the straight draw.

The turn ws the {K-Spades} giving Fernandez a flush, but Santucci had a redraw to a higher flush. The river was the {J-Diamonds} though and that was it for Santucci who ended up with just a pair of jack. Fernandez took down the pot with his flush and moved to over 300,000.

Cristian Fernandez Doubles Through Martin Crosa

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Martin Crosa raised to 5,200 from the cutoff and Cristian Fernandez called from the big blind.

The flop came {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Fernandez checked. Crosa bet 5,200 and Fernandez called.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Fernandez checked. Crosa bet again, 8,400 this time, and Ferandez called.

The {6-Clubs} fell on the river and Fernandez checked a third time. Crosa bet 16,700 and Fernandez check-raised all-in for a total of 49,300. Crosa went into the tank for over five minutes and ultimately called. Fernandez flipped over {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for rivered trip sixes, Crosa showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, and Fernandez took the pot to double up.

Sierra Takes Some Back

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Maria Lampropulos opened with a raise to 6,000 from under the gun and she found one call from Jean Sierra in the big blind.

On the {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, both players checked to see the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. There, Sierra put out a bet of 6,600 which Lampropulos called.

The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and Sierra slowed down with a check. Lampropulos decided to bet putting out 13,000 which Sierra called after a few seconds. Lampropulos showed {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for just king-high, but Sierra was holding {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a pair of threes and that was good enough to earn him the pot and take back some of the chips he lost earlier to Lampropulos.

Sierra: {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Lampropulos: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {4-Spades} securing the double up for Lampropulos with her two pair and she moved once again over the 100,000-chip mark.

Sierra Chips Up

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With about 30,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, Jean Sierra checked from the hijack to his lone opponent, Flavio Arrieta, who was on the button. Arrieta bet 16,000 and Sierra called.

The {2-Spades} fell on the river and both players checked. Sierra tabled {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a flopped pair of tens and heart flush draw that didn't come in, Arrieta mucked, and Sierra took the chips.

"Flacco" Drops One

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Francisco Garcia limped in from the cutoff. Jean Sierra followed along from the button as did Ernesto "Flacco" Panno, who just finished fourth in the Main Event for $29,880, from the small blind. Oscar Quijada checked from the big blind so the four took to a flop.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and all four players checked. They checked again on the {4-Clubs} turn. On the {7-Clubs} river, Panno fired off a bet of 5,500 which Quijada called.

Panno showed {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} for ace high but it was no good as Quijada was holding {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, and he took down the pot.

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

There were already about 40,000 chips in the pot and the board read {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} when we got to the table. Hugo Spangenberg checked from the small blind to his lone opponent, Omar Carranza, who was in the cutoff. Carranza checked behind.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Spangenberg bet 25,000. Carranza called.

The {A-Diamonds} fell on the river and Spangenberg bet again, 30,000 this time. Carranza called and Spangenberg tabled {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} for top set. Carranza mucked and Spangenberg took the pot to extend his chip lead.
