Osvaldo Naves shoved all in from middle position. Two seats over Julio Arocena reraised, making it 400,000 total. Everyone else folded so the two headed to a showdown.
Arocena:
Naves:
The brought two extra outs for Naves as he could now catch a three to stay alive. The turn was the bringing no help, but the river was the and that was just the card Naves needed to collect the pot, stay alive, and double up.
Hector Barua opened to 40,000 from the hijack only to have Ernesto Panno three-bet to 200,000 from the cutoff. After brief consideration, Barua folded face-up and Panno took the chips.
Julio Belluscio raised to 40,000 from middle position, Hector Barua called from the small blind, and Ernesto Panno called from the big blind.
The flop came and action checked to Belluscio who bet 20,000. Barua check-raised to 95,000, Panno folded, and Belluscio came over the top for a total of 190,000. Barua folded face up and Belluscio showed as he took the pot.
Since the unofficial final was reached, the pace of action has slowed to a crawl. Most pots have been won uncontested before the flop and there hasn't been much in the way of notable chip movement.
Action folded around to Alfredo Panta on the button and he shoved for what looked like about 280,000. Juan Guillenea, who was in the small blind, had him covered by a narrow margin and shoved on top. The big blind got out of the way and the two live players tabled their hands.
Panta:
Guillenea:
Guillenea had the preflop advantage with his pocket kings and Panta needed help from the deck in order to survive. The board ran out which improved Panta to a pair of eights on the river, but it wasn't enough to crack his opponent's kings, so Guillenea took the pot to end Panta's run in this tournament.
The remaining nine players are now redrawing for seats at the final table.
Catching the action the turn with a board of Julio Beluscio was in the small blind and he checked over to Ernesto Panno who was in the big blind. Panno fired off a bet of 75,000 which Belluscio called.
The river was the and this time Belluscio opted to lead out, putting out a bet of 95,000. Panno thought for several minutes before he finally released his hand into the muck. Belluscio showed him for a missed straight draw though. Panno made a disgusted face and shook his head as Belluscio took down the pot.
