Alejandro Lopez
Alejandro Lopez

Alejandro Lopez shoved from early position for what looked like about 55,000 and Juan Guillenea, who was on the button and had him covered by a fair margin, shoved on top. The blinds both got out of the way and the two live players tabled their hands.

Lopez: {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Guillenea: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Guillenea was ahead with his pocket jacks and Lopez needed help in order to preserve his tournament life. The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} which further improved Guillenea to a set of jacks, so he took the pot to end Lopez's run in this event.

Panno Calls and Wins

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With a substantial pot of what looked like about 150,000 already brewing on a completed board of {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Alfredo Panta bet 68,000 from under the gun and Ernesto Panno, who was in the cutoff, went into the tank for several minutes. Eventually, the clock was called. As the final seconds ticked down, Panno called and showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. His pocket sixes were good enough to win the pot against Panta's {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and he took the chips to put his stack over the 500,000-chip mark.
