Event Highlights

The NJCOOP series, which will run through October 26, features $1 million in total guarantees across 54 events.

The crown jewel of the series is of course the $300 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which boasts a $125,000 guarantee. That one takes place Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. local time.

It'll be accompanied by a smaller $50 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event, with a $25,000 guarantee.

Players who enjoy non-hold'em formats will also have plenty to choose from. There are several pot-limit Omaha events, including a $500 six-max high roller. There's even $100 Pot-Limit Badugi, $100 H.O.R.S.E. and $100 5-Card PLO.

PokerStars NJ is also committed to giving frustrated players extra value via freeroll tickets. Those who get eliminated shy of the money will be given tickets into events awarding more NJCOOP seats.

"Chalmisi6" First Player to Fall

In Level 7 with blinds of 200/400 and an ante of 50, "Chalmisi6" raised all in for 4,656 from under the gun, Anthony "supremetny" Chin raised to 8,812 from the small blind and "angel zera" called off their 5,757 stack from the big blind.

"Chalmisi6": {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
"angel zera": {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Anthony "supremetny" Chin: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"Chalmisi6" was dominated by both opponents and they didn't receive any help from the {5-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop.

The {j-Spades} turn however, gave "Chalmisi6" some life as it gave them the spade flush draw but they bricked the river as it fell the {9-Clubs} ending their tournament.

Sherrier Fires Twice

In Level 10 with blinds of 400/800 and an ante of 100, action folded to Brian "Wsopboy1997" Sherrier who raised to 2,100 from the small blind and Anthony "supremetny" Chin defended his big blind.

Once the {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop appeared, Sherrier check-called Chin's 2,325 bet and did the same for 5,600 after the {4-Clubs} came on the turn.

The {4-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Sherrier checked one last time to Chin who fired out 47,600. Sherrier called off his 26,479 stack and showed {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} but it was no good as Chin held {7-Clubs}{3-Spades} to win the hand.
