Event Highlights

The NJCOOP series, which will run through October 26, features $1 million in total guarantees across 54 events.

The crown jewel of the series is of course the $300 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which boasts a $125,000 guarantee. That one takes place Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. local time.

It'll be accompanied by a smaller $50 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event, with a $25,000 guarantee.

Players who enjoy non-hold'em formats will also have plenty to choose from. There are several pot-limit Omaha events, including a $500 six-max high roller. There's even $100 Pot-Limit Badugi, $100 H.O.R.S.E. and $100 5-Card PLO.

PokerStars NJ is also committed to giving frustrated players extra value via freeroll tickets. Those who get eliminated shy of the money will be given tickets into events awarding more NJCOOP seats.

Following up Huge Spring and Summer Series

Action has been intense as ever on PokerStars NJ this year with some big tournament series hitting the client awarding some hefty prizes.

In April, New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker ran, with 620 entries in the similar $300 Main Event. "moledaddy" took home more than $30,000 for first place in that one.

A follow-up in July, the Bounty Builders series, saw more than $700,000 awarded over the course of a few weeks. Network superstar Daniel "AvaGray" Lupo, featured here on PokerNews, won about $14K in the Main Event.

"JoEiSiNz" Makes Correct Call

In Level 1 with blinds of 70/140 and an ante of 15, "MartinChatwn" raised to 350 from the cutoff and "JoEiSiNz" defended their big blind to see a {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop appear.

"JoEiSiNz" check-called "MartinChatwn's" 420 continuation bet and did the same for 910 after the {9-Hearts} came on the turn.

The {4-Spades} completed the board on the river and "JoEiSiNz" checked their option once again to "MartinChatwn" who fired out a third bullet worth 5,180.

"JoEiSiNz" spent some time in the tank but ultimately called and both players tabled their hands.

"MartinChatwn" rolled over {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of fours while "JoEiSiNz" showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to win the hand with a set of nines.

"iFoldN0T" Finds Breathing Room

In Level 4 with blinds of 125/250 and an ante of 30, "iFoldN0T" raised all in for 2,171 from the button and Jason "TiltedHard" Lawhun looked them up from the big blind.

"iFoldN0T": {k-Spades}{6-Spades}
Jason "TiltedHard" Lawhun: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"iFoldN0T" was ahead and improved after the {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop gave them top two-pair.

The {4-Clubs} turn left Lawhun drawing dead and "iFoldN0T" doubled-up after the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

"JoEiSiNz" Wins With Ladies

In Level 5 with blinds of 150/300 and an ante of 40, "JoEiSiNz" opened for 675 from the button and "Rock Matthew" three-bet to 2,375 from the big blind.

Action was back on "JoEiSiNz" who four-bet to 6,000 and "Rock Matthew" called to see a {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop appear.

Both players checked to the {j-Clubs} turn where "JoEiSiNz" check-called "Rock Matthew's" 4,225 bet and the {8-Diamonds} river was checked by both players.

"Rock Matthew" rolled over {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of sevens but it was no good as "JoEiSiNz" held {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to win the pot.
