Event Highlights

The NJCOOP series, which will run through October 26, features $1 million in total guarantees across 54 events.

The crown jewel of the series is of course the $300 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which boasts a $125,000 guarantee. That one takes place Sunday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. local time.

It'll be accompanied by a smaller $50 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event, with a $25,000 guarantee.

Players who enjoy non-hold'em formats will also have plenty to choose from. There are several pot-limit Omaha events, including a $500 six-max high roller. There's even $100 Pot-Limit Badugi, $100 H.O.R.S.E. and $100 5-Card PLO.

PokerStars NJ is also committed to giving frustrated players extra value via freeroll tickets. Those who get eliminated shy of the money will be given tickets into events awarding more NJCOOP seats.

Following up Huge Spring and Summer Series

Action has been intense as ever on PokerStars NJ this year with some big tournament series hitting the client awarding some hefty prizes.

In April, New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker ran, with 620 entries in the similar $300 Main Event. "moledaddy" took home more than $30,000 for first place in that one.

A follow-up in July, the Bounty Builders series, saw more than $700,000 awarded over the course of a few weeks. Network superstar Daniel "AvaGray" Lupo, featured here on PokerNews, won about $14K in the Main Event.

Early Pot for "icecube2"

In Level 2 (200/400/50), Ryan "hagz2richez" Hagerty opened for 880 under the gun and "xaverian412" called from the cutoff. "iFoldN0T" came along from the button, and then "sixers13" and "icecube2" called from the small and big blinds respectively.

When the flop came down {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, "sixers13" checked and "icecube2" bet 2,800. Only "iFoldN0T" called and the {6-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

"icecube2" bet 6,800, "iFoldN0T" called, and the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

"icecube2" best again, this time 13,200, and that did the trick as "iFoldN0T" released their hand.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Cappuccio

In Level 4 (300/600/75), action folded around to "Ioxonbagel" on the button and they raised to 1,500. The small blind folded but Joe "LCC102515" Cappuccio called to see a {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

Cappuccio check-called a bet of 900 and then check-called one of 1,980 on the {5-Hearts} turn.

When the {8-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Cappuccio checked for the third time and "Ioxonbagel" checked behind.

Cappuccio tabled the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for trip aces and it was good as his opponent simply mucked.

In Level 5 (350/700/90), "HunterJohn59" raised to 1,750 from the hijack and "TrashNinja00" called from the button. Ryan "hagz2richez" Hagerty came along from the big blind and it was three-way action to the {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop.

The trio checked and the {j-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

Hagerty led out for 4,200, "HunterJohn59" folded, and "TrashNinja00" popped it to 9,100. Hagerty responded by moving all in for 16,101 total and "TrashNinja00" called.

Ryan "hagz2richez" Hagerty: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
"TrashNinja00": {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Both players had turned top pair, but Hagerty's kicker had him way out in front. The {q-Diamonds} river was of no consequence and Hagerty shipped the double.
