2025 PokerStars EPT Monte-Carlo Festival Starts April 30

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
EPT Monte Carlo
EPT Monte Carlo

One of the most eagerly anticipated stops on the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) is almost upon us: the EPT Monte-Carlo festival. Running from April 30 through May 10, the 2025 PokerStars EPT Monte-Carlo takes place, as always, at the luxurious Sporting Monte-Carlo. The stop marks the 20th year since PokerStars first took the EPT to the legendary Principality.

This year's EPT Monte-Carlo bursts into action with the inaugural €1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event. The PokerStars Open are a set of six standalone stops plus two Open Main Events at EPT Barcelona and Monte-Carlo, each with a €1/£1 million guaranteed prize pool.

If the recent PokerStars Open Campione Main Event is anything to go by, PokerStars Open Monte-Carlo could be huge. Last month, the €1,100 PokerStars Open Campione Main Event drew in a staggering 2,423 entrants who created a €2,326,080 prize pool. PokerStars knew their new event would be popular, but nobody expected such a massive turnout. Adrian State of Romania triumphed in Campione, turning his €1,100 investment into €363,000.

Nocerino Takes From Shasho

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Gerard Shasho checked the J93 flop in early position and made the call when Joseph Nocerino fired a bet of 60,000 on his left.

Another check from Shasho followed the K turn, with Nocerino sliding out a bet of 180,000.

The call was made and the dealer revealed the 6 river. Shasho checked again, and Nocerino did the same.

"Straight," said Nocerino as he tabled Q10. That was good enough to claim the pot as Shasho mucked.
