Del Grosso Barely Stays Alive

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Marcello Del Grosso was left as the short stack after losing the majority of chips just recently. Del Grosso pushed all in for 790,000 in the hijack and James Mendoza re-raised to 2,060,000 in the small blind. Pedro Marques folded his big blind and the two hands were tabled.

Marcello Del Grosso: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
James Mendoza: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Del Grosso spiked a six on the flop to take the lead. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn and the {a-Spades} on the river changed nothing as Del Grosso doubled up.

Barbero Folds Correctly

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Thomas Eychenne made it 250,000 from under the gun with {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Nacho Barbero defended his big blind with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Barbero check-called for 200,000 in the {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop which brought in the {q-Hearts} turn. Eychenne, now with two pair, fired another 500,000 and was called.

The {2-Spades} river completed the board. With 2,080,000 in the pot, Eychenne sized up to 1,500,000.

Barbero went into the tank but in the end, he made the correct fold.
