Catanzaro Takes From Corpening

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Three players saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Kashka Corpening bet 15,000 and both of his opponents called. The turn was the {a-Clubs}. Corpening bet again this time for 20,000 which folded out one of his opponents but got a call from Salvatore Catanzaro. The river came the {4-Diamonds} Both players checked the action.

Both players missed their draw, but Catanzaro had the best had with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} which was better than the {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} of Corpening.

Action was picked up on a board that read {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} with a pot of about 50,000 in the middle already. The player first to act bet 35,000 and was instantly called by Kashka Corpening. Corpening's opponent showed the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} for air and Corpening tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for ace high which was good enough to take the decent sized pot.

A few players at the table were impressed by the call and told Corpening good call, while his opponent shook his head and told a nearby observer to check out the hand, seemingly unable to believe he was called by ace high that swiftly.
