Eisenberg Fires River

Level 14 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Lara Eisenberg opened to 10,000 from the cutoff and was called by the button as well as the big blind.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and both the big blind and Eisenberg checked to the button who led out for 26,000. The big blind folded while Eisenberg called to send action heads-up to the turn.

Both players checked through the {7-Clubs} turn to the {9-Clubs} river where Eisenberg fired off a hefty 50,000. Her opponent gave the situation some thought before deciding to fold. Eisenberg showed the {a-Hearts} before mucking her hand.

Final Entry Numbers Confirmed

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With the late registration period closed, the number of entries on day 1b has been confirmed at 310. Combined with the 223 entries on day 1a, that brings the total number of entries to 533, which unofficially generates a prizepool of $1,279,200, absolutely obliterating the $500,000 guarantee. The exact way in which that prizepool will be divided up will not be confirmed until day 2.

Lebrun Eliminates Al-Keliddar

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action partway through the hand, Yaser Al-Keliddar on the button found himself all in and at risk against Joey Lebrun in the small blind.

Yaser Al-Keliddar: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Joey Lebrun: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Al-Keliddar was in rough shape and could not improve on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades} runout to send him to the exists with no possibility of re-entering.

McKeehen Counterfeits Opponent

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joe McKeehen opened to 6,000 from middle position and was called by both the small and big blind.

The blinds checked to McKeehen on the {7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and he continued for 5,000. The small blind called while the big blind folded to send action heads-up to the turn.

Both players checked through the {q-Clubs} turn to the {7-Hearts} river at which point the small blind checked again. McKeehen quickly checked back and showed down {a-Spades}{10-Spades} which beat out his opponent's {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to the pot.

Dentale Lays One Down

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Michael Dentale in the big blind was involved in a hand with a player on the button. With the board reading {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} Dentale checked to the button who bet out 18,500. Dentale wasted little time making the call.

Following the {6-Hearts} river Dentale checked again, prompting his opponent to fire off 30,000. That sent Dentale into the tank as he pondered his decision. Peering at his opponent's stack, he said 'I'm just seeing how much you're risking. I'm not raising'. Having limited himself to either a call or fold, he did eventually decide on the latter to take a small hit to his stack.
