Arnold Flips To Double
Picking up the action partway through preflop proceedings, a player in the small blind had a bet of 4,000 in front of him and was facing an all in from the covering stack of the cutoff. Tim Arnold in middle position also had a bet in front of him with a significant portion of his stack still behind. The small blind folded while Arnold immediately called, putting himself at risk.

Arnold was locked in a classic race for his tournament life and asked the dealer to put low cards on the table. That is not exactly what happened on the ![]()

flop but that did not seem to bother Arnold, who now held a dominant lead. The
turn did give the cutoff player a gutshot to broadway but it did not come in on the
river, handing Arnold a full double.
