Here's the Schedule on Penultimate Day of Potomac Summer Poker Open

It is the second to last day of the 2026 Potomac Summer Poker Open, and there are three tournaments taking place inside the poker room.

This morning saw the start of $400 40/40, a one-day event with a $40,000 guarantee attached.

And this afternoon saw Day 2 of the $3,000 Main Event get underway, with those in the field including Justin Liberto, Faraz Jaka, and a handful of online qualifiers. You can follow PokerNews' live updates of that event here.

Finally, tonight will see the start of $400 5-Card PLO Bounty, a one-day event that comes with a $10,000 guarantee.

Online Qualifiers Advance to Day 2

A handful of online qualifiers advanced to Day 2 in the $3,000 Main Event as they look to turn their BetMGM Poker online success into a live victory.

Dejan Ristov advanced to Day 2 with a stack of 250,000 after qualifiying for just $25, while Michael Bohmerwald bagged slightly less after qualifying for $250.

The rest of the qualifiers who advances, David Kinane, Casey Hatmaker and Jonathan Moritz, qualified for $500 — still a steal for a $3,000 buy-in event with a $750,000 guarantee.

Local Crusher Kenya Jackson Wins $300 Womens Event for $5,444

Kenya Jackson is the champion of the $300 Womens Event for $5,444 after defeating heads-up opponent Eva Ghirmai, who earned $3,198 for her runner-up finish.

Jackson, a local crusher of this casino, already had ten victories at MGM National Harbor and adds to $90,191 in Hendon Mob earnings.

The Womens Event drew 63 runners for a prize pool of $15,120, far surpassing the $10,000 guarantee. It took place in the front of the poker room and had a final table that included Jennifer Oar (3rd - $2,003), Jinkie Basilio (4th - $1,361) and Kerry Kriener (5th -$1,058).

Another player at the final table, one wearing purple head to toe, was seventh-place finisher Linda Swears, who PokerNews spoke to earlier in the series about her card protector with a special meaning.

The second and final starting flight of the $3,000 Main Event has wrapped up with 38 players remaining. They will join the 20 survivors from Day 1a on Sunday for Day 2.

Waleed Mian baggeed the overwhelming chip lead with double the stack of second-in-chips Kyle Lin, who is after his second trophy of the series after taking down the $1,100 NLH High Roller.

Nicholas Persian Conquers $500 Freezeout for $8,445

After an early 9 a.m. start today in the $500 Freezeout, Nicholas Persian walked away with the trophy and $8,445.

The event drew 55 runners for a prize pool of $22,825. Virginia's Persian defeated heads-up opponent Robert Crawford (2nd - $5,022), while the final table also included Aldo Frascoia (3rd - $3,081), Matthew Portnoy (4th - $2,168) and $400 Double Stack NLH champion Tucker Battle (5th - $1,712).

Down to Seven in $300 Womens Event

The $300 Womens Event is down to its final seventh players after a few eliminations that saw the bubble burst.

After the bubble, Elena Currence bowed out in eighth place for $544 before Linda Swears fell in seventh place for $680. Swears has had her card protector with her all series and it propeled her to a final table finish tonight.
