X may mark the spot, but Fred X. knows how to play the spots. Fred X. Hoban won his second event of the series as he took down $300 Double Board Bomb Pot PLO for $4,908 by defeating heads-up opponent Boyi Cui (2nd - $4,111).
The event drew 90 runners for a prize pool of $21,600, more than doubling the $10,000 guarantee.
Earlier in the series, Hoban chopped $400 Mixed PLO with Matt Mullins to win $5,990.
The final table also included Patrick Martorella (3rd - $3,294) and Brandon Frazier (4th - $2,162), while others who cashed include Robert Kalteux and Lorenzo Cuison.

A massive cooler took place today at the 2026 Potomac Summer Poker Open in Maryland, one that saw three players all in with the three strongest starting hands in Texas Hold'em.
The aces versus kings versus queens confrontation took place during $400 40/40, a two-day event with a $40,000 guaranteed prize pool. It was a dream spot for Izzy Einsidler, the player with the aces, but a scary turn card had him sweating.
Online qualifier Casey Hatmaker is still in contention to make his second straight Potomac Poker Open Main Event final table.
Back in February, the Pennsylvania pro finished sixth in the Potomac Winter Poker Open Main Event for $37,221. A change of seasons later, Hatmaker is down to the final two tables with just 15 players remaining.
"I've been coming out for these Main Events since they brought them back and after COVID ... probably this is like my seventh Main Event here and (I'm) trying to top my 6th place finish from last time," Hatmaker told PokerNews earlier in the series.
Should he make the final nine, he may just have to change his surname to Finaltablemaker.
The $400 40/40 event has attracted a sizable field so far with 197 players showing on the clock as players take their dinner break.
The prize pool is already at $65,010, far surpassing the $40,000 guarantee in the 40-themed event.
There was a major aces versus kings versus queens cooler earlier in this event, and PokerNews will have a story on that later tonight.
It took a half-dozen hands of hand-for-hand play for the money bubble to burst in the $3,000 Main Event.
Podcaster Tim Pool was down to five big blinds and under the gun when hand-for-hand play started. The bubble took place at his table a half-orbit later, but Pool wasn't one of the two players who busted.
Yabetse Wedeneh was the unfortunate bubble after a three-way all in against Thomas Barry and James Morris, as captured by PokerNews live reporter David Salituro.
Morris was also eliminated, but had the bigger stack and secured a cash in 35th place for $5,754.
Late last night saw William Batts taking down the $400 Big O event for $9,258 as the Maryland resident added to his $16,750 in live earnings.
The event drew 87 runners for a prize pool of $28,710 that nearly tripled the $10,000 guarantee.
The final table included runner-up Marc Donohue (2nd - $5,084), Nazdar Dizeyee (3rd - $3,181) and bracelet winner Yaser Al-Keliddar (4th - ($2,151).

All of Batts cashes have been at MGM National Harbor, and he has logged more than a dozen final table finishes. But Batts never had a first place until today, but he does now with a BetMGM Poker trophy to go with it.
