It's final table time in $400 PLO 8, an event that paid ten spots and saw the money burst recently.

One of those at the final table is mixed game crusher Matt Mullins, who is looking for his third straight mixed game victory this series after chopping the $400 PLO Mix and winning $400 8-Game Mix.

Each player at the final table is guaranteed a payout of $886, while ten times that awaits the winner with a first-place prize of $8,863.

Casey Hatmaker Looks to Improve on Last Main Event Run

His name is Hatmaker, but he's a poker player.

PokerNews caught up with Pennsylvania poker pro Casey Hatmaker after his final table finish in $1,100 NLH. He went out in ninth place, but was still in good spirits after qualifying online into the $3,000 Main Event.

"Came in the final table seven out of nine (in chips), and got an ace queen suited versus jacks, so yeah," Hatmaker said.

Hatmaker also had high praise for MGM National Harbor. It's a place where the East Coaster with over $1.5 million in live earnings had his share of poker results. Earlier this year, he finished sixth in the Potomac Winter Poker Open Main Event for $37,221.

"I've been coming out for these Main Events since they brought them back and after COVID ... probably this is like my seventh Main Event here and (I'm) trying to top my 6th place finish from last time."

"The dealers and staff are great here," he continued. "The tournaments are run super well, the casino is incredible. I feel like it's nicer than a lot of Vegas casinos."

The money bubble is approaching in $400 PLO 8 with just 15 players remaining.

A total of ten spots are paid, with a minimum cash being worth $782. Meanwhile, the winner will walk away with $8,863.

The field is also dropping quickly in Day 1a of the $3,000 Main Event, which is slated to play through Level 15. Follow live updates of that event here.

We have another winner here at the Potomac Summer Poker Open as North Carolina's Kyle Lin chopped $1,100 NLH for $31,559.

Lin reached a heads-up deal with Nathan Bomey that saw Bomey taking home $26,540 but Lin taking home the trophy in the $100,000 guaranteed event.

After his victory, Lin, who adds to $421,582 in live earnings, told PokerNews he was ready to play the $3,000 Main Event. Let's see if he can run as hot in that tournament.

Another player who was ready to play the Main Event was Casey Hatmaker, who hopped straight into Day 1a after falling in ninth place in this event for $3,558. That's enough for the buy-in, but Hatmaker already qualified through an online $500 satellite on BetMGM Poker.

We are over the halfway point of the 2026 Potomac Summer Poker Open and more than a dozen winners have been crowned so far.

It seems like weeks since Ivan Tomic took down the $600 Opener for $156,190. And in the time since then, there have been plenty more winners.

Recent winners so far include Fasi Majid ($300 NLH Double Green Chip Bounty - $5,270) and Tucker Battle ( $400 Double Stack NLH - $6,487).

But the series so far has belonged to Matt Mullins, who first chopped $400 Mixed PLO before winning $400 8-Game Mix outright for $8,201.
