Lindsey Flops the Joint For a Double Knockout

With around 40,000 in the pot on a flop of Q♦8♥10♦, Dave Ouellette, who had only just joined the field, bet 20,000 from under the gun and Brad Magnus called in the cutoff. Leighton Lindsey then moved all in from the button.

"I just sat down," Ouellette, accompanied as usual by his dog Jack, said with a laugh before calling for 50,000. Magnus also called for his last 70,000.

Lindsey had flopped the nut straight, while Magnus was looking to complete a flush draw. The 2♠ turn and 4♠ river were no help, and Lindsey scooped the pot to send both opponents to the rail.

Ouellette quickly reentered, but Magnus was already on his third bullet and his tournament officially came to an end.
