Hammarstrom Hits a Miracle to Bust Huber
Level 12
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Nick Hammarstrom raised to 11,000 on the button and Ian Huber called in the big blind.
The flop came K♥4♥4♦ and Hammarstrom continued for 7,000. Huber called to see the A♣ turn, where Hammarstrom bet another 21,000. Huber then moved all in, and Hammarstrom tanked for a few minutes before calling.
Hammarstrom showed A♦8♣ for two pair, but Huber had 5♥4♠ for trips and was poised to take the big pot until the A♠ fell on the river, giving Hammarstrom a full house.
The stacks were counted down and Hammarstrom had 145,000. Huber was covered by just 1,000 and was sent to the rail.
