Both Brewer and Miller checked the 6♣6♠9♥ flop, which led to a bet of 3,400 from Lewis. Brewer folded, but Miller had other intentions as he opted to go all-in for 11,800. Lewis made the call as Miller was at risk.

Ricketts checked again. Crowe chose to take the initiative with a wager of 1,000. Simon responded with a raise to 3,500, which led to a fold from Ricketts.
Crowe gave it some thought before he opted to fold, awarding the pot to Simon.

Joseph Brewer went all-in for 25,100 from the small blind position and was called by Javes Lewis from early position, to be at risk.

Brewer held the nuts with a straight, but Lewis was not down and out, as he could improve to a full house and eliminate Brewer in the process.
That did not come to pass on the Q♦ river, as Brewer held to score the double.

This hand was picked up with piles of chips already in the middle, with the pot already swelled past 20,000 on a board that read K♥K♦8♥Q♦J♥.
Michael Ledford put max pressure and went all-in on the river. Brian Durr snap-called and put himself at risk for 7,700 as they went to showdown.
Ledford showed he only had a small piece with 8♦6♠ for two pair, but it was far from good. Durr responded by showing K♠8♥ for a full house to claim a big pot during the second level of Day 1a.

Crowe checked again on the A♣ turn before Vuong put out another bet, this time for 1,500. Crowe was no longer interested, as he mucked his hand to yield the pot to Vuong.

Colin Heaton fired 8,000 from the hijack and was called by Blake Young on the button.
The A♣ turn did not scare Heaton as he opted to jam for 16,300 on the river. Young gave it a brief consideration, but opted to make the fold as Heaton took down a sizeable pot early on Day 1a.

The 8♠ turn led to another check from Graham. Ng fired a second barrel to the tune of 4,000. Graham called.
Graham decided to take the betting initiative on the 7♣ river with a wager of 5,000. Ng wasted little time tossing his hand in the muck, awarding the pot to Graham.
