Paredes Wins Skirmish Against Himes

A raise and call preflop set up the pot for the flop of 9♦4♠K♥. Charles Himes checked his option from the small blind before Victor Paredes opted to bet 2,500 from the hijack. Himes made the call.

Both players checked the 10♣ turn to bring the J♣ river. Himes checked again before Paredes opted to bet 12,000 on the river. Himes flicked in the call to go to a showdown.

Paredes showed Q♥Q♠ for a rivered straight. Himes revealed he had it until the river did him in when he showed K♦4♣ for a pair of kings.

Lyons was pulling for an ace, but the flop provided none when it came K♦3♣5♣, keeping Anderson ahead with his pocket jacks.

The 3♠ turn was of no consequence, as Lyons needed an ace and only an ace to eliminate Anderson.

Anderson scored the double-up on the Q♣ river to stay in contention.

Persky was in trouble as he ran into the pocket kings of Singh, but with five cards to go, Persky was hunting for a suckout.

The 10♠8♥10♣ flop gave Persky little hope as he was drawing to the final two queens in the deck against Singh, who was poised to score the knockout.

Singh stayed ahead on the A♣ turn, but the river was a blessing for Persky as it came the Q♥ to give Persky a full house and the best hand to claim the pot.

A player from early position opened to 2,000 and was called in the next seat over by Ryan Rummonds. The cutoff joined the fray with a call, and the small blind also called to create a four-handed pot.

The A♥3♣3♥ flop was checked by the small blind before the original raiser continued for 5,000. Rummonds and the cutoff both called. The small blind bowed out with a fold.

The original raiser slowed down with a check on the 4♣ turn. Rummonds took the initiative with a bet of 15,000. The cutoff called, and the early position player folded to trim it down to heads-up as they went to the river.

The 9♣ river did not deter Rummonds, who decided to go all-in on the river. The cutoff went into the tank as he pondered what to do. Eventually, the cutoff called, putting himself at risk for approximately 13,300 as he went to a showdown against Rummonds.

Rummonds showed 5♠2♠ for the wheel to claim the pot, as the cutoff showed A♣J♦ for aces up when he was eliminated.

Haletky raised the price of admission even further as he popped it to 20,000. The player in the next seat over folded, but Jardin was not done and made the call.

Haletky continued for 20,000 on the 8♥6♠7♥ flop. Jardin gave it a brief consideration before he folded, awarding the pot to Haletky on the flop.
