Welcome to Day 1a of RunGood Poker Series Council Bluffs
The RunGood Poker Series is back with the Road to the RunGood Cup, a four-part tournament series that kicks off today at 7 p.m. local time at Horseshoe Council Bluffs, just a few short minutes east of Omaha, Neb.
After a couple of preliminary events, the Main Event gets underway tonight, a $675 buy-in with unlimited reentries. It's the first of three starting flights, and not only will the winner claim the lion's share of a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, but the final nine runners will receive $2,000 packages to the season-ending RunGood Cup Championship.
Last time the RunGood tour came through town, 426 runners created a prize pool of more than $250,000, and Henry Gingerich walked away with $57,806 and a $10,000 Main Event seat.
This year's event will once again feature 30-minute levels on Day 1a, with 13 levels scheduled to be play. Blinds will begin at 25/50 and each starting stack will be 20,000.
