Schuptrine Wins Four Way All In

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Robert Schuptrine
Robert Schuptrine

When all the players at a table are standing up, it's generally an indicator of a lot of action and such was the case at Robert Schuptrine's table. We got there with four players all in and the hands sitting in front of them. Schuptrine had {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and was up against {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, and {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The player with tens had the biggest stack and was not in danger while Schuptrine was the second biggest stack of the four.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the player with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} was in great shape as he had hit trip queens. That would change though when the dealer put out the {8-Spades} on the turn to give Schuptrine a full house. He still had some outs to fade and he would do just that when the river was the {4-Hearts}.

"Ship it!" said the excited Schuptrine, who more than tripled his stack and finished the hand with approximately 52,000 in chips. The two shorter stacks were eliminated on the hand.

Flush Draws Drawing Dead

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Curtis Edens came by our table and told us about a hand that went down on the last hand before the break. There were five limpers and Edens raised it up to 2,000. The player in Seat 7 and Isaac Tucker in Seat 8 were the only two to make the call. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-} and the player in Seat 7 checked and Tucker moved all in for 12,000 total. Edens called and the player in Seat 7 then moved all in for another 3,000 more. Edens called that bet as well. The hands were turned over:

Tucker {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush draw
Edens {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a better flush draw
Player in Seat 7 {6-}{6-} for quads and no need to worry about two flush draws.

The player in Seat 7 nearly tripled up, Tucker was eliminated, while Edens was left with a still comfortable stack of 35,500.

Lee Goes Boom!

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Bernard Lee limped in and the player on the button raised it up to 700. The player in the big blind called as did Lee. The flop came {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the player in the big blind and Lee checked to the pre-flop aggressor who made a bet of 1,500. Only Lee called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Lee led out for 2,600. His opponent clicked it back to 5,200 and Lee moved all in for 13,800 total. He was quickly called by his opponent who held {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} for tens full of kings. Lee had flopped the nuts though as he had {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for quad tens. That hand gave him a full double up to 31,500 in chips.

Amanda Baker opened from middle position for 800 and Terry Karn called. The player in the cutoff reraised to 3,500 and Baker made the call. Karn folded.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Baker check-folded to a 6,000 bet from her opponent.
