Lorett Doubles, Cripples Traber

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A player in middle position opened to 3,000 and James Traber three-bet to 6,100 from the hijack. Action folded to Michelle Lorett in the small blind and she moved all in for 22,500. The original raiser folded and Traber called, tabling {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Lorett turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and stayed good as the board ran out {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Campanello Busts Rieck

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We caught the action after a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Mike Rieck check-raised to 6,000 after a 2,000 bet from Bryan Campanello. Campanello called and the {10-Spades} came on the turn. Rieck quickly moved all in and Campanello snap-called. "Do you have a ten", Rieck asked. Campanello confirmed "yes", as he turned over {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for trip tens. Rieck showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and headed to the rail as the harmless {q-Spades} came on the river.

Lawrence and Reynolds Battle

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

John "Cracker" Reynolds opened to 1,200 from middle position and was called by a player right behind. Matt Lawrence three-bet to 3,100 from the button, Reynolds called and their opponent folded. The {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop brought two checks, as did the {a-Spades} turn.

After the {k-Diamonds} fell on the river and Reynolds checked, Lawrence fired 5,400. Reynolds thought for a moment and then threw out chips for the call. Lawrence tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Reynolds mucked his hand.

Campanello Bullies Rieck

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Bryan Campanello
Bryan Campanello

We walked up to a board of {7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Bryan Campanello check-called a bet of 1,300 from Mike Rieck. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Campanello check-raised to 6,600 after Rieck fired 2,200. Rieck made the call and the {3-Hearts} fell on the river. Campanello moved all in and Rieck thought for a moment before releasing his hand.

Campanello is stacked nicely and is looking to survive the second half of Day 1b and join his father, Day 1a survivor Johnny Campanello, for Sunday's Day 2.
